Remember what going to school in person looked like? Me either...just kidding I know it hasn't been THAT long but you get the point. A year ago during the fall semester, we were all used to the hustle and bustle of going here, going there, and to class on time while also stopping at your favorite take-out place but things have changed.
For me personally, I have spent more time at home, not only now, but also from the summer semester. While being at home all of the time may seem like a daunting task, it has brought me closer to my family while still being able to get the online college experience. I have a younger brother who has also had to take up online classes when he had to finish up his school year earlier this year. It was so different having someone else at home when I was used to being alone. In a way, I like having that quiet time because it gives me the focus that I need to get tasks done. Even though I was home alone a lot less, it meant that I had company more often but it would also make me feel less lonely at times.
I was able to go into my brother's room and bother him for a minute or probably more and it would give me the distraction that I need after doing so much school work. Being home a lot more also meant having more family dinners together which I love and am super thankful for. Those family dinners were times to unwind and talk about anything and everything that we wanted. Some people may look at being home as a loss of freedom but there are also a lot of fun factors to it you just have to look at the bright side of things.
