The women, self-righteous and superior,
divided in a class alone. She is sparkling
and broken. Night after night she returns
to him. Pressing her slender body against
his, to hear his heartbeat hasten. She
kisses his chest, tasting a hard days
work. Immersing herself deep
within his core, to find a dark abyss-
like the ocean tide swallowing you whole,
but lets you live under the waves.
Her body now teeming with life, he is the
nourishment for her body-
Her frigid hands reach out to stable herself,
in the nothingness, she brushes her lover.
And as a daffodil is overcome by spring,
she is overcome by her resilience
to get up and stand on her own.
