The Well-Rounded Nature Of Medicine

While I dive into an ocean of Sciences, I bear around myself the life vest of liberal arts.

While I aspired to be one with the realm of medicine for a substantial length of time now- I find myself finding new positive aspects, aside from the moral and selfless base that holds my staggering desire in the first place, that endorse the confidence I carry about making the right decisions for my future. My latest perpetual idea was the well-roundedness that medicine encompasses. It allows one to profess in all of their naive curiosities, and to pull out of each and every one of them vital life lessons. Your university is the medium in which you have endless opportunities to learn, to fill the voids of every unfinished scope you were introduced to throughout your high school years.

One reason that enhances my love for medicine is its overlap with every other field there is. I can honestly argue on its behalf that there isn't a single turf out there that doesn't have relation with the art of medicine. While some students, understandably, steer as far away from any liberal arts, or from any classes that are bereft of applicable science- I invite those entities to add color to whatever black and white preexisting knowledge I came in with. To help wheel me closer to the well-rounded and cultured surgeon I hope to become.

My love to write only broadens my scope for the future. I hope one day to become an author. One who can write all about what her ears have heard, what her eyes have seen, what magic her fingers have created, and all they have to do with her thoughts: those that stemmed from each and every entity that others may view unscientific.

I am a strong believer of all that we know, learn, and are curious about being blended together into what we think and essentially what we practice.

Thus, for all of the sciences that take away hours of my sleep (though I love them no less than any other courses), I enroll into classes that add hours of dreaming. They add balance, insight, and perspective. The papers I write for my english courses and the readings I withstand for my philosophy courses all help me better understand the mechanisms of Organic Chemistry. While I dive into an ocean of Science, I bear around myself the life vest of liberal arts- to ensure that I get to my destination safely, and still, with momentum left to continue learning and asking questions for the rest of my life.

Sorority Girls
Owl Eyes Magazine

College is a great place to meet people, especially through Greek life. If you look closely at sororities, you'll quickly see there are many different types of girls you will meet.

1. The Legacy.

Her sister was a member, her mom was a member, all of her aunts were members, and her grandma was a member. She has been waiting her whole life to wear these letters and cried hysterically on bid day. Although she can act entitled at times, you can bet she is one of the most enthusiastic sisters.

Every kid in college and/or high school dreams of summer the moment they walk through the door on the first day back in September. It becomes harder and harder to focus in classes and while doing assignments as the days get closer. The winter has been lagging, the days are short and dark, and no one is quite themselves due to lack of energy and sunlight. Let's face it: life is ten times better in the summertime.

RBF
Pop Trigger / YouTube

I'll admit it, I have a condition called RBF or, if you will, Resting Bitch Face.

Anna Kendrick, poor Kristen Stewart, the Queen of England are all life-long sufferers of RBF. Victoria Beckham even made a career out of it! And though it's usually used to describe women, some men are also afflicted. Kanye West is the best example of this.
