The Week Before Spring Break, As Told By Tina Belcher

Spring break is approaching for many students, and while we are all excited to be away from school, the week before spring break is always tough for everyone. Whether you're going to a tropical island for the week, or going home, you must complete all the work that teachers choose to be due just when all the students are checking out ready to be done. Here's how the rest of the week will typically look:

Sunday

You go to sleep dreaming of all the fun things you will be doing next week. Tonight will probably be the last night where you will go to bed at a normal time and get a full 6+ hours of sleep

Monday

Even though it's only the first day of the week, you are already drained from the day, and dreading the next four days.

Tuesday

Congrats! You've made it to Tuesday! Like Tina, you think you have your sh*t together, only bad thing is; you have three papers, a presentation, and 2 midterms that come between you and Spring Break!

Wednesday

This day is dedicated to panic attacks, due to anxiety and stress. You have all these assignments that are all due at the same time, but you don't know where to begin.

Thursday

YOU ARE SO CLOSE TO THE FINISH LINE. The end of the week is finally approaching and while you want to go out with your friends, you still need to finish all the work you somehow procrastinated throughout the week. And pack. That too.

Friday

Finally, it's Friday! You made it through the week! Now time for a drink...or five!

Saturday

Yes while it's spring break, you still have to talk to your parents on how bad your grades are currently...why don't they understand we're all under a lot of stress.

We don't buy into these... just like how we don't buy our friends.

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
