Ah, Christmas. It's such a magical time. If you're like me, you start your Christmas countdown in August. The day itself gets hyped up so much that the week afterwards can be a real buzzkill. You have New Year's Eve to look forward to, but waiting for a giant glittery ball to drop just isn't the same as trying to stay up for Santa. Luckily, Michael Scott and the rest of Dunder Mifflin can commiserate.
Christmas is the happiest day of the year, but December 26th can really pop up out of nowhere.
When you finally realize Christmas is over:
Christmas morning was so happy, but now it is just a distant memory.
When someone tells you it's time to put away all of the Christmas decorations:
The rest of the world says Christmas is over, but you're still holding on.
And the social media posts of what everyone got for Christmas are getting old very quickly.
Some of the presents you bought online will show up a few days after Christmas as a hollow, sad reminder of the joy you experienced of yesterday.
At least there are leftovers from your Christmas feast.
You never want your holiday vacation to end.
People will use whatever means necessary to trick themselves into going back to work.
Eventually you realize you have to leave your parents' house and go back to school.
Because you're really starting to butt heads with the other members of your household.
Just don't look at your bank account for awhile.
And definitely don't look at your tuition bill for the upcoming semester.
Now that it's over, you feel like you took Christmas for granted.
But just remember, next Christmas is only 51 weeks away.
