We Need To Be Glad Elena Gilbert Is Back On The Vampire Diaries

As we all know, or us fan girls know, The Vampire Diaries is soon ending. We are gearing up for the end of the very last season. It leaves us to wonder, how did it get so far off track? How did it go so down hill? Season one, episode ten forever.

How did we lose this:

Now there will always be those people who like a show more when characters change or characters leave. Yet, I am not one of them. I either like a show right away or i don't. When I like a show, it is because I relate, I bond or understand the characters and their situations. I wouldn't watch something I did not like or relate with.... I would not watch it at all.

For those of us who fell in love with The Vampire Diaries... we loved it for so many reasons. We fell in love with the characters, Stefan and Damon. Elena. Bonnie. Klaus. Matt. Caroline. Etc.

Even if we did not like a character or two, they were important. The love stories and the plots with the 1800's made this show different. This show was not just about vampires and the hunt. It was intertwining with history, so the vampires really showed their age. It was different. In the end that is what mattered. It was not another love story, it had substance. The way characters had cross overs and something that happened 100 years ago; made the current day matter. This in particular made it stand out from the Twilight's of the world. It was long-lasting.

The show got so crazy, it lost characters, it turned very odd. Some of us may disagree but it got off track from how the first three or four seasons were. It really took an abrupt turn. I was not sure what the show was about anymore. It got darker.

Regardless, some of us were happy Elena Gilbert was finally gone. Some of us got sad. When you take away a main characters like that.. it does not go unnoticed. No, the show cannot play it off. At this point you can't make any excuse good enough to why there is an absence for that character. It affects too much, too many characters revolved around Elena and her story. Her parents. Her follow up with Katherine. The people who did not like this character very much still wanted her in the show. The series was around her whether we liked it or not and when you take away most of the point, not much is left. As beautiful as Stefan and Damon are. They weren't enough and the series was struggling. That is the cold hard truth. Whatever is going on this season.. is somethin' else.

Fear not! Elena Gilbert is going to be back and she is bringing The Vampire Diaries back. We need heart wrenching love, intense moments between Elena and her other half, the pain of them not being together, the sneaking around, and the forbidden love. That is what we need. We desire this with some action, mixing in other characters and everything the territory comes with.

The everlasting drama that comes between the characters with Elena in the show is what made the show entertaining. Elena may only be coming back for one episode but that one episode is everything. The ending won't be as good and it will not be epic but at least it will be a rightful ending us fans deserve.

The show needs to be come full circle and that is why Elena should end up with Stefan, even though I liked her and Damon together more. Damon needs to be done with the pain and she is good for him, yes...but no. While we all may be wishing each of the characters can remain happy.... the possibility is hopeless.

At least we can always re-binge. Every. Season.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
