We've all had our experience with that guy. Whether it be you personally, your sister, your best friend, or your mom's third cousin-twice removed, we've all seen tears of mascara run down someone's face because of a bad boy who was good at breaking hearts.

Despite our better judgement, we can't help but to give into this crazy temptation of allowing this guy to have a chance at our love. We know it's crazy and will probably end horribly, yet we can't help but smile back when he gives us that look. He gives you countless reasons to hate him but no matter what, you never can. Why is it that us girls cannot help but to be drawn to boys who have proven they are only good at being bad?

1. Nicholas Sparks

I love your work, Mr. Sparks, I really do. Though I hate to say it, you’re one of the main reasons behind this tragic epidemic. Us girls see these amazing love stories about some tough, bad boy falling head-over-heels for the sweet, innocent girl, and we are instantly hooked. Too bad you’re the author of novels and not real relationships.

2. Disney Movies

Belle, Jasmine and Rapunzel are just a few of Disney’s leading ladies who have shown us that bad boys can be reformed. Belle turned a monster into a handsome prince, while Jasmine and Rapunzel turned rugged thieves into their Knights in Shining armor.

3. Romance movies in general

Whether it’s a rom-com or a tear jerker, some of Hollywood’s biggest love stories have shown a guy changing his hardened ways for the girl he’s fallen for.

4. Carrie and Big

After countless break-ups, make-ups, affairs, six seasons, and two movies, we finally saw Carrie and Big get their happily ever after. Unfortunately, not all male leads have this sort of character development.

5. Chuck and Blair

Need I say more?

6. Fear of being bored

Bad boys are just more reckless and adventurous - hence why they’re probably bad. They take risks and that’s something that, though we try to deny, girls cannot resist. Everyone wants a little excitement in their life, but keep in mind that these boys may cause more heartache than heart-racing.

7. To annoy our parents

Though not always the case, there is no better way to get your parent’s blood boiling than to date a guy who has “bad” written all over him.

8. Taylor Swift songs

Though we all know Taylor has had her share of heartbreak, usually with a bad boy or two, listening to her sing makes us feel invincible and that we can find the power to make that bad boy go good (hopefully longer than a weekend).

9. They say what you want to hear

Usually these boys have one thing on their mind and they won’t hesitate at saying whatever it takes to get it. Their words may sound like the sweetest you’ve ever heard spoken at the time. Just like looks, words can be deceiving, too. Make sure you don't let a few pretty words compromise your intuition.

10. Bragging rights

If you ever are an exception to the rule that is “Stay Away from Bad Boys”, you will undoubtedly have bragging rights amongst all your friends and family that told you it would never work out. The chance to say “ha, I was right - you were wrong” may motivate quite a few girls to attempt to mold these boys into men.

11. Mrs. Fix-It Syndrome

It’s said time and time again that girls want a guy they can fix. Girls think they can take the good in these boys and override all the bad qualities, despite that not always being the case. If he acts like he doesn't care, chances are nothing you can do will change that.

12. Girls naturally believe in love

Whether it’s all our shows, movies, or the fact that Barbie was created with Ken, girls are pre-programmed to believe in love. Not all girls of course, but generally speaking, girls are suckers for love while guys tend to just suck.

13. They don’t look as bad as they act

Let’s face it; these boys attitudes probably come from an over-dose of cockiness. That cockiness probably has to do with the fact that most bad boys are more than good looking, and they know it.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
