I love you. Three words, eight letters, yet one tremendous way to feel

How could such a diminutive phrase mean such a mammoth deal

And why is it that we don’t hold onto love for as long as we can, or safeguard it with our utmost care

For when we let it go, the fatal blow is so traumatic, and the immense pain causes our whole life to destruct at once and all becomes bare

It’s almost as if the whole time we have been living an illusion

It feels as if we have only awoken from a glorious dream by an insolent intrusion

Well if true love really is but a dream, I don’t even mind

Sign my name on the dotted line, I am ready to go along for the ride

My fantasy ferry, as unrealistic as it may be, this luxurious voyage is certainly worth my time

And even though the unknown can be daunting, I shall never know the outcome of this opportunity unless I give it a try

The only thing worse than heartbreak is to not know what a whole heart feels like from the start, so I am stepping out of the dark

I write these deep words to you in hope that you can see a glimpse of my heart

Maybe now you can understand why I am so cautious with the risks I take

It’s because I think endlessly, and vigorously, before every decision I make

Therefore, because I choose you, it means that our love is not only a mirage

I choose you because I love you, and every time you bring light to my eyes is what determines the truth behind your perfect visage

It means that our attraction is not an excuse or premature

I pray that these tender little things, every moment we share together, will remain within our glowing future

I glow with delight when you brush your hand against my cheek with a sensual touch of romance

The way you cherish every inch of my soulful presence with one beautiful, everlasting glance

I am not perfect, I cannot tell you or guarantee that our unfathomable love will last

My bonafide wish is that this, this passion we share, this sensational connection we have, won’t crumple into a distant memory from my past

I am afraid, because as love is lost, leaves shrivel and fall in the autumn, and new ones sprout in the spring

However, our love must be strong enough to brave the winter, and all of the storms the world may bring

A task that should not be too difficult considering all you need to do is seek the snow flakes, the rain drops in between

We must find life’s beauty at all costs throughout this windy journey as wanderers, together, and believe in one another
