For those of you who are down and out with this terrible sore throat that has been going around, here is the cure that got me feeling better in three days.
Drink defend.
This stuff is the real deal. Defend is ALL NATURAL, so it is way better for you than Airborne. Defend contains Elderberry, vitamin C, and a blend of medicinal mushrooms. Drink at least three sticks of defend per day to kill your sore throat virus. You can find Defend online! http://www.myJavita.com/katiepogue
Take Ibuprofen.
The recommended dose on a bottle of Ibuprofen is 1-2 tablets every 4-6 hours, but that dose will not do anything! Take up to 4 tablets every 6 hours and it will make a world of difference! You can find Ibuprofen at any local drug store.
Keep a humidifier next to your bed.
Keep a humidifier (preferably a Young Living diffuser) right next to your bed and it will help combat against congestion. A few hours will make a difference. You can find a humidifier anywhere, but for the Young Living diffuser, you will need to buy it online.
If possible, add a few drops of Thieves to the diffuser. Thieves is an essential oil that helps with colds. Thieves can also be found online.
Sleep.
Rest is essential to feeling better when you're sick. All you need is to allow yourself the time and it is yours.
Have some soup.
When you have a sore throat it sometimes hurts to swallow. Have some warm soup to help you take in some calories and it will feel good on your throat. You can get soup ready-to-go from dining services or canned soup from a local grocery store.
Take a hot bath.
The steam alone can help unclog your sinuses and the relaxation taking a bath entails will send you into a full recovery. Let yourself be pampered. You don't need to light candles and make it look like a movie scene. Just turn on the hot water and put some soap in the tub before you climb in. Get in a hot tub if you want. All that matters is that you are able to sit back and relax.
I hope this helps you all compete against this nasty virus that is going around!
Note: Always go see a doctor first before assuming you have a virus. Better safe than sorry!
