Alright, y'all. It's here. The time has come. We're building up to finals, and we're cramming those last minute, make it or break it assignments, and we're needing a prime playlist to get us through. Well, look no further. Here's my ultimate "finals/hype/peace" playlist for all your finals week needs. Prepare yourself for an extensive list of all of the songs that get me through finals (and really anything super stressful).

1. "When We Come Alive" by Switchfoot.

Because everyone needs some inspirational hype music during finals week.

2. "Diamonds" by Johnnyswim.

As Johnnyswim puts it, they wrote this song to be a "suck it to nay-sayers", but then it turned into a sort of anthem. Which totally works for finals week.

3. "Our Own House" by MisterWives

For your every-day-hype needs.

4. "Reflections" by MisterWives

"Discipline myself..." yes. Do that.

5. "Dare You To Move" by Switchfoot

I know you're dying of stress and finals and papers and projects, but just keep it moving for like one or two more weeks.

6. "You're Not Alone" by Marie Miller

You're not along in your finals melt down/drowning/crying/stress vortex/focus tunnel vision.

7. "When It Don't Come Easy" by Patty Griffin

Just listen to this song when it (the answers) don't come easy.

8. "The Cave" by Mumford & Sons

"I will hold on hope [that we'll pass], and I won't let you choke [during the test] on the noose around your neck [hello grades]. And I'll find strength in pain [stress vortex], and I will change my ways [*cough* Netflix]--I'll know my name as it's called again [after about a week of recovering after finals]".

9. "Everyday" by Dave Matthews Band

"All you need is, all you want is, all you need is..." a really really good study guide and about 10 shots of pure caffeine.

10. "Keep Your Head Up" by Andy Grammer

"You'll turn out fine. But you gotta keep your head up" through the utter horribleness of finals.

11. "Shoot From The Hip" by Brothers Osborne

Just listen to this and approach your finals like that. It works, promise.

12. "Sing It Out" by Switchfoot

When things get super rough and you wanna cry, just sing it out. Or dance. Or something.

13. "Hopeless Wanderer" by Mumford & Sons

Cuz in the end we're all just hopelessly wandering through finals week.

14. "Even If It Breaks Your Heart" by Eli Young Band

Keep on dreaming even if finals break your heart.

15. "This Is Your Life" by Switchfoot

Finals motivation: *insert chorus here* ? Right. So go study.

16. "How Great Thou Art (with Vince Gill)-Live from ACM Presents: Girls' Night Out" cover by Carrie Underwood

I know, it's worship and a little cheesy, but I can't get through finals without this song.

17. "Go Rest High On That Mountain" by Vince Gill

Yes, 80's music along with the 80's video. Just trust me.

18. "Unaccompanied Cello Suite No. 1 in G major by Johann Sebastian Bach, Yo-Yo Ma

For when you need quiet classical study music.

19. "Don't Know Why" by Norah Jones

For when you need quiet coffee house study music.

20. "Firelight" by Young The Giant

For when you need chill music.

21. "Not With Haste" by Mumford & Sons

I will study with urgency but not with haste.

22. "Little Worlds" by Mandolin Orange

For when you need chill but interesting acoustic music.

23. "Settle Down" by Kimbra

For when you need funky study music.

24. "She Lit A Fire" by Lord Huron

For when you need ethereal night time study songs.

25. "Boom Clap" cover by Lennon & Maisy

For when you need chill vocals.

26. "Tomorrow Never Comes" by Zac Brown Band

For when you get so lost in studying it feels like tomorrow will never come.

27. "The Longer I Run" by Peter Bradley Adams

You may be "selling your soul for a nickel and dime" "the longer [you] run" from these finals.

28. "Bloom" by The Paper Kites

"In the morning when [we] wake, and the sun is coming through..." we'll be acing those finals.

29. "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman

There is no car fast enough to run from these finals.

30. "If I Didn't Know Better" by Nashville Cast, Sam Palladio, Clare Bowen

I swear this is my exact mental conversation with my bed every night I'm up late studying.

31. "Timshel" by Mumford & Sons

For when you get discouraged.

32. "Free" by Zac Brown Band

We'll be free soon enough.

33. "My Favorite" by Gabe Dixon

To wake you up when you're dozing during study time and to remind you how great you are, regardless of how well you do on finals.

34. "Don't Carry It All" by The Decemberists

Take one final at a time. Don't carry it all in one load.

35. "Something In The Way She Moves" by James Taylor

I just love this song.

36. "You Are The Best Thing" by Ray LaMontagne

This is one of the best songs to revive your dozing late night study session to.

37. "It's A Man's, Man's World" by James Brown

When you need some commiseration.

38. "Belief - Live at the Nokia Theatre" by John Mayer

John Mayer, tellin' it like it is.

39. "Five More Hours" by Gabe Dixon

Five more hours... of studying tonight, amirite?

40. "(Sittin' On) The Dock of The Bay - Live At The Fillmore Version" by Sara Barielles

I wish I was sitting on the dock of the bay wasting time instead of just sitting at some desk. At least it'd be prettier.

41. "Shout Out Loud" by Amos Lee

"I wanna shout out loud"...cuz finals are killing me.

42. "Sleep" by Allen Stone

"I get no sleep"... me either, Allen, me either.

43. "Lift Your Head Weary Sinner" by Crowder

For when you need some sense of revival amidst finals fall-apart.

44. "Stay Or Leave" by Dave Matthews

Chill night time study vibes.

45. "After The Storm" by Mumford & Sons

There is hope after finals. Really. There is.

46. "Awake My Soul" by Mumford & Sons

"How fickle my heart and how woozy my eyes..." literally me during finals week.

47. "Sigh No More" by Mumford & Sons

Mumford and Sons comin' at you with some hopeful night time wake up study music.

48. "Roll Away Your Stone" by Mumford & Sons

What it initially feels like when you come out of your final.

49. "You And I" by Foy Vance, Bonnie Raitt

Great study music as you approach the end.

50. "Tell Her You Love Her" by Echosmith

Late night study vibes.

51. "No" by Meghan Trainer

Jam music? Check.

52. "Hold Me Down" by Halsey

More wake-you-up-feel-like-a-BA music for your 'get work done' needs.

53. "What Do You Mean" by Justin Beiber

When you sit down at your desk, open your blue book, look at the questions, and have to re-teach yourself the material as you're taking the test..

54. "Sorry" by Justin Beiber

When a final maybe didn't go so well and your professor can smell it from a mile away..

55. "Love Yourself" by Justin Beiber

But then you get a little belligerent and don't really care if they went badly or not.

56. "When We Were Young" by Adele

And then that super weird nostalgia kicks in once you realize it's the last time you'll be in this class with this people...

57. "I Know Where I've Been ("Hairspray") " by Queen Latifah

And then the understated, strong, independent, survivor mentality that kicks in when you realize you actually made it through in one piece.

58. "Feel Again" by OneRepublic

And then you return to your normal self, stepping away from the weird ghostly semblance of a real person you became during finals week.

59. "Banner" by LIGHTS

And then all you feel like doing is throwing your arms up in triumphant settlement and bask in the fact that it's over. It doesn't even really matter how it turns out at this point, because it's over.

60. "Roses" by The Chainsmokers

And then you rage.

61. "Wild Things" by Alessia Cara

And then you rage some more.

62. "Marchin On" by OneRepublic

And then you realize it's summer, and there's a strange nostalgic sense of solidarity amidst everyone around you.

63. "Colors" by Halsey

And then you proceed to sing, dance, burn your notes, etc.

64. "A Sky Full Of Stars" by Coldplay

But I mean, hey, if this whole school thing doesn't end up working out, you could always just become Chris Martin in this video.

Catch y'all on the flip side. Study on.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week.
