Once the outfit is picked out, it is time to get to the beauty aspect. While most people switch straight to makeup, it's important to take a couple steps before applying your makeup.

First things first, treat your skin! Masks are your friends! The night before a party, treat your self to a mask. There are face masks out there for every skin type out there. Whether you have dry, dull, oily, sensitive, or acne prone skin, there is a mask out there that is guaranteed to treat your skin! The night before an event I recommend a revitalizing or illuminating mask. These masks will leave your skin looking refreshed and glowing! Glowing skin always make your makeup look flawless!

After your skin revitalized from the mask, its important to moisturize. While I overlooked this step for awhile, it is vital to smooth makeup application. Especially during these cold winter months, moisturizing will help enhance your makeup game!

Once all the skin care is taken care of, it is time to get to the makeup! During the winter time especially, make sure that you're utilizing a primer. Priming your skin before foundation application will make your skin appear more poreless and flawless.

For the holiday season it is all about the red lips and the sparkly eyes! A classic go to holiday look starts with a red lip. You can never go wrong with a red lip! Especially with a neutral outfit, a red lip can really give it a festive look! Pair your favorite red lip stick with a gold shimmery shadow and some black winged eyeliner. Tada! You have a classic holiday look that is guaranteed to compliment any holiday outfit!

If red lipstick is not your cup of tea, do not worry! Dark matte maroon lipstick is perfect for this time of year! A deep maroon shade pairs beautifully with a shimmery copper shadow on the lid and a matte chocolate brown color in the crease. This nontraditional look is the perfect twist on a classic holiday look!

While the holidays can be a stressful time, they are also a rewarding time! A time to reconnect with friends and family and share some love! Enjoy the craziness of the holidays because they only come around once a year! Happy Holidays and enjoy those holiday parties!

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
