The Ultimate Gift List for Women

Christmas just passed, birthdays are always coming up, pretty soon it's Valentines Day, graduation is in May, and the question is daunting: What should I get Beth for (insert gift-giving occasion)? Of course, all that anybody wants for Christmas is to be with family and friends. But, let's say, hypothetically, that we were guaranteed quality time with our loved ones. And, miraculously, there was world peace, world hunger has ended, and all the dogs at the shelter were adopted. Then, what would you want for Christmas? Or, your birthday? Or, just a gift because treat yo' self and treat yo' loved ones. Maybe gift giving isn't your love language, and you just need a little help. No fear, here is the ultimate gift list for your teen to young adult daughter, sister, girlfriend, or friend, for any gift giving occasion :

1. Socks (yes, socks)

As we get older, socks increase in the quality of gift items. Ankle socks, crew socks, boot socks, any length, seriously. Socks as a gift: 10/10 would recommend.

2. Hunter Rain Boots

These boots will be a hit. They come in a variety of colors, and despite the name, are good in any weather. Pair them with some boot socks and you'll be all set.

3. Lulu Lemon Leggings

These leggings are every girl's dream. Plus, LuLu Lemon will repair any hole in a pair of their leggings, a little something to justify the purchase.

4. Patagonia Pull-Over

You can never have too many Patagonias. At the top of most lists, a Patagonia is guaranteed to be a crowd pleaser.

5. Framed Picture

For a more personal gift option, frame a meaningful picture and you'll be solid. Maybe even write a little note on the back of the picture for an extra sentimental touch.

6. Book

Nothing is more relaxing than reading for pleasure. Books are an easy and cheap option. Again, write a little note on the inside cover for a personal touch.

7. Hat

Hats are another easy and cheap option. Choose your pick from beanies to Dad Hats, both are great options. Life is Good, Patagonia, and Kendall and Kylie are all good brands for hats.

8. Passport

A Passport is a necessity in anyone's life. Perfect for that Spring Break trip to Mexico just around the corner or that Study Abroad fantasy semesters away, a passport is a great gift option.

9. Headphones

I lose headphones more than anything should ever be lost. Perfect for the gym, class, and watching Netflix for Dorm Life, nobody can ever have too many extra pairs of headphones.

10. Alex & Ani Bracelet

What girl doesn't love jewelry? Alex & Ani Bracelets are the hottest jewelry item right now. You choose the meaning behind the bracelet for that personal touch.

11. Naked Palette

We love make-up! Splurge and get the Naked Palette of your choice and your gift will be a hit.

12. Michael Kors Purse

MK is a girl's best friend. A bit pricey, but this purse will last a lifetime. A Michael Kors Purse will be a gift homerun.

13. Nike Jogger Sweatpants

The comfiest and cutest loungewear available. Nobody likes pants, so give the comfiest form of pants and you'll be loved.

14. Keurig

Two words: coffee, duh.

15. Spa Day

A manicure, pedicure, massage, maybe even all three. A gift to treat yo' self will never fail.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
