The Ultimate Get Over A Breakup Playlist

Alright girls, this one's for you. I've come up with the ultimate girl power playlist to get you through your most recent heartbreak. Whatever you do, do not, I repeat, do not listen to country music - unless you want to end up in a puddle of your own tears.

1. "7 Things" - Miley Cyrus

Because who doesn't love screaming those seven things?

2. "Single Ladies" - Beyoncé

C'mon ladies, I know you all know the dance to this song.

3. "Potential Breakup Song" - Aly & Aj

Cause ever since elementary school you've wanted to have a potential break up and now you've been there, done that!

4. "Take a Bow" - Rihanna

This one just feels good for the soul to sing.

5. "Too Little Too Late" - JoJo

JoJo used to be the girl, and how can you not feel empowered singing "get out, right now!"?

6. "Picture to Burn" - Taylor Swift

Cause let's be honest, old Taylor goes hard and now you have an actual picture you can burn since you didn't take pictures with your elementary school boyfriend.

7. "Fergalicious" - Fergie

This one just cant be sung without smiling and I know you know every word to the part after, "get it Fergie."

8. "Beautiful" - Christina Aguilara

Little confidence booster here & how can you not belt this song like you belong on "The Voice"?

9. "G.N.O" - Miley Cyrus

"Hey boy, dontcha wish you coulda been a good boy?" Feels good to actually have a real boy to sing this one about.

10. "What the Hell" - Avril Lavigne

Cause now you're old enough to get to sing the "hell" part of this song.

11. "Irreplaceable" - Beyoncé

To the left, to the left - Beyoncé says it all.

12. "Stronger" - Britney Spears

Cause who didn't want to be Britney when they were a kid?

13. "Hollaback Girl" - Gwen Stefani

If you don't still sing this song in your head when spelling out bananas, then I applaud you.

14. "It's alright It's OK" - Ashley Tisdale

This song was a whole new level of Sharpay Evans.

15. "Since U Been Gone" - Kelly Clarkson

Hardcore "American Idol" fans appreciate this.

16. "Gunpowder & Lead" - Miranda Lambert

I know I said no country, but this is the only exception.

17. "Fighter"- Christina Aguilera

Cause who doesn't want to be as fierce as Christina?

18. "Don't Cha" - The Pussycat Dolls

All I have to say about this one is, don't cha?

19. "L.O.V.E." - Ashlee Simpson

Who could forget about Jessica Simpson's little sister and her anthems?

20. "So What" - P!nk

You're still a rock star in my book, boyfriend or no boyfriend!

These throwback songs are good for the soul, and with them on repeat, you are guaranteed to feel empowered.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Blair Waldorf
Stop Hollywood

For those of you who have watched "Gossip Girl" before (and maybe more than just once), you know how important of a character Blair Waldorf is. Without Blair, the show doesn’t have any substance, scheme, or drama. Although the beginning of the show started off with Blair’s best friend Serena returning from boarding school, there just simply is no plot without Blair. With that being said, Blair’s presence in the show in much more complex than that. Her independent and go-getter ways have set an example for "Gossip Girl" fans since the show started and has not ended even years after the show ended. Blair never needed another person to define who she was and she certainly didn’t need a man to do that for her. When she envisioned a goal, she sought after it, and took it. This is why Blair’s demeanor encompasses strong women like her.

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
