The Summer before going away to school I was consistently having anxiety over what to pack. I always lived with my parents so they would purchase all my necessary supplies. I didn't want to forget anything which led me to heavily over pack for this next chapter of my life. These are some necessities that you should definitely bring with you to college.

Kitchen Supplies

1. Microwavable plastic plates/bowls/cups/utensils

2. A descent size pot

3. Tea/coffee

4. On the go mug for your coffee/tea

5. Strainer for mac and cheese/pasta

6. Dish towel

7. Sponge

8. Dish soap

Food

1. Pasta and sauce

2. Mac and cheese

3. Ramen

4. Chips

5. Popcorn

6. Candy

7. Granola bars

8. Cereal

Bedding

1. A mattress pad

2. Multiple sheet sets

3. A thick and cute comforter (especially if it gets cold where you go to school)

4. More than one fuzzy blanket

5. At least two pillows

6. A husband pillow (yes, that is what they're really called)

7. A mattress cover

Electronics

1. T.V.

2. Your laptop/tablet

3. A surge protector

4. A fan

5. A mini-fridge

6. All your chargers

I hope that this list was helpful for incoming freshman, or anyone else that is moving away from home for a long period of time. Don't forget that in a dorm room there is a limited amount of space so try to only bring essentials! Good luck everyone!
