7 Types Of Guys As Described By 'The Bachelorette' Participants
ABC

This season of ABC's "The Bachelorette" has just gotten started and I've been observantly watching these men fight for Jojo's heart. Although the men are here for one common reason, they're going about it in various different ways. Here's a list of types of guys and their Bachelorette participant that corresponds with it:

1. The “Dumb Drunk” as played by Daniel

This guy has no shame in flaunting his level of intoxication to whoever is willing to watch. He’ll try to outdrink everyone in the room and make a competition out of everything. Can’t find him? Check the nearest pool. Haven’t seen him in a couple hours? Might be throwing up in your bathroom. Oops.

2. The “Stereotypical D-bag” as played by Chad

He’ll drive you crazy and make you feel inferior, but don’t worry, he’ll make up for it with his looks. It’s up to you to decide if his beautiful face and body are worth the years of dreading bringing him to family events and praying he doesn’t kill one of your guy friends. Oh and you can’t change him, so don’t make it your mission to alter his egocentric personality.

3. The “Nice Guy” as played by James T.

This guy is not always going to look like a Ralph Lauren model, but he’ll make you feel appreciated beyond belief. He only has eyes for you. He’s sweet, sensitive, and never fails to make you laugh. These are hard to find, easy to love, and definitely husband material, so if you’re lucky enough to find one, keep him forever.

4. The “Attaining yet Complaining” as played by Evan

He’s got a good job, high goals, and seems like a logical boyfriend candidate. Only problem is his elementary approach to any problem. It takes everything in you to refrain from telling him to “stop whining like a little bitch”. Stay away from any guy who thinks complaining to you is a good form of communication in a relationship.

5. The “Mom’s Favorite” as played by Jordan

This guy is the kind of person you want to bring home to your parents. He’s respectful, has a good sense of humor, and certainly not hard to look at. He pretty much has everything going for him, which sometimes makes you question if it’s too good to be true. Don’t overthink his complete amazingness; let yourself fall in love with his considerate and compassionate personality.

6. The “Hot and Mysterious Guy” as played by Luke

You don’t know a lot about him at first, but you’re definitely intrigued. He’s got the looks and carries himself with confidence. He may appear enigmatic, but you know that under the rugged appearance this guy has a sensitive side. Invest yourself in him, learn about his past, and see the potential for a great future.

7. The “Guy Who Wears a Kilt to the First Date” as played by Jonathan

Red flag. Unless you’re wearing one also, he’s not the one.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
