The 11 Types Of Friends In Every Friend Group

These are the girls you would do anything for. They are the girls that have seen you at your worst; the girls you hit up for Moes and Cold Stone, and the ones that you know are there for you no matter what. They are the sisters you never knew you wanted, and the girls you would die for. We all have these friends in every friend group, and it's pretty obvious to point out each one.

1. The Mom

Need a band-aid? A shoulder to cry on? Life advice? This is the friend you go to. She is always there looking out for everyone else/her 'children' and wants to know everything about your life. She is there for you, and you are there for her. She is the friend you tend to trust the most because she won't tell a single soul, and you go to her for advice because she is wise beyond her years. She knows just about everything, just like your mom does, so you tend to go to her with the weird questions you need answers to. She is usually best friends with, or is, the Hermione.

2. The Sweetheart

Usually the youngest of the group, the sweetheart does not have a mean bone in her body. She is always smiling, and sometimes you wonder if she's ever not been happy. She cares, sometimes way too much, about those around her. She can seem a bit shy at times due to her quiet nature, but she is always there with open arms and a huge smile on her face. She gets on swimmingly with the 'mean girl'.

3. The Extrovert

Need a laugh? This is the friend you would call to come over. She is always making a fool of herself, but that's what makes you love her. 9 out of 10 times she is embarrassing you anywhere you go, and she enjoys it. When you're sad, she will be the one to make you laugh again. She doesn't care who's watching, or what anyone thinks, she just enjoys being herself. Her and the WTF are best friends.

4. The 'WTF'

You're not exactly sure how she ended up in your friend group, but you love her all the same. She isn't like the rest of the group and has different opinions than everyone else. She likes different music, has a different sense of style, and in general loves all things different. She isn't quick to judge about anything and genuinely accepts everyone for who they are. She might sometimes get confused with the extrovert, which is why they get along so well.

5. The Hermione

She seems to know everything and anything you ask her. Her future plans include either medical school or law school, so she spends the majority of her time in the library studying her life away. You sometimes question your IQ whenever you're around her because some of the things she says make you feel extremely dumb. You know she is going to be extremely successful in life, and you sometimes wish her intelligence could rub off on you.

6. The Hot Mess

She doesn't really have her life together. She always has a busy schedule and is everywhere at once and relies on others reminding her what all she needs to do whether it's her class schedule, to go to a meeting..... or to shower. No matter how many times she is encouraged to be more organized, she always ends up right back where she started.

7. The "Mean Girl"

You're not exactly sure how you ended up being friends, as you were extremely intimidated by her when you first met. She is perfect in every way in looks, and she knows it too. She doesn't have a filter and become a master at sarcasm. She may seem like a complete mean girl at first, but once you become her friend and get to know her, she takes down her wall and is nice to you. She takes the sweetheart under her wing in fear that any harm will come to her.

8. The Late Friend

Have to be somewhere at a certain time? You tell this friend you have to be there 30 minutes before you really do just so she might be there on time. She might still be late. She doesn't have a sense of time, or direction, which always makes her late to every event, class, date, you name it, she's late to it. She gets along really well with the Hot Mess, they tend to be the same person as well.

9. The Party Girl

She's a ball of fun and loves to go out every night of the week. She loves to party, get drunk, and just have a good time. She spends the day as a Hermione, night as an Extrovert, and morning a Hot Mess. She's the best combination of all three and loves to have a good time. If you need someone to go out with after a hard test, she's your girl. She is the life of every party and is always fun to be around.

10. The Ghost

You never hear from her, let alone see her, for days and sometimes even weeks. You know she's OK though, she's just in tons of other friend groups as well, or has a boyfriend. A lot of the time the ghost is the friend that always has a boyfriend, or spends every hour of every day with him. When she does hang out with everyone it's like she's never left, and you love her no matter how long she stays away.

11. The Best Friend

While you do consider everyone in your friend group your best friends, there is one that you are closer to than all the rest. There is one that comes to mind that you want to run to whenever something good, or bad, happens because you want her to know first. There is one that you absolutely 100 percent know will be standing by your side on your wedding day, and she might even end up being your Maid of Honor. She's the reason you haven't gone crazy yet. She's the reason why you haven't dropped out of school yet. She's the reason you learned how to love, because she is your person, and you couldn't imagine life without her. She is the friend you want to hold onto because having a friend like her is hard to find.

While each girl in your friend group is different, you love and accept them all just like they love and accept you. Each one holds a special place in your heart, and you know that the group just wouldn't be the same if one was missing. The real question is, which one are you?

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
