Parks and Recreation is one of my favorite shows of all time. It's funny, witty, clever, and it has heart. There are so many moments across the seven seasons that have made me cry from laughing so hard as well as from the heartfelt moments that were rare treasures in the show. I'm sad that it's over now. Even though it's been a little while since it ended, here are my top twenty favorite lines from Parks and Rec: Remember when...?

1. Leslie listed the top complaints from her senior voters

2. Leslie had her priorities straight

3. When all Andy wanted was some answers... and milk

4. When all Andy wanted was to be a cop

5. When Ron said a Ron thing

6. When April provided all the encouragement you needed

7. When Ron said what we were all thinking

8. When Ann got real about exercise

9. When Donna gave you permission to

10. When Ben proposed

11. When Leslie confirmed the Raccoon situation was taken care of

12. When that lady from Paunch Burger explained the reasoning behind the hilariously huge "child size" drink

13. When Leslie (luckily) forgot her vows

14. When Ben made THAT joke... or any of the others, really

15. When Ben just didn't get Lil' Sebastian

16. When Chris was being Chris

17. When Andy was so in awe that he said this

18. When Ron was very against skim milk

19. When Ron was a man of few words

20. And when Leslie was super prepared

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio
