As most students taking Biology know, this subject is not for the faint of heart. It's not that the content is incredibly difficult, but there is so much to learn in a short amount of time. We go from cellular respiration to photosynthesis, to learning the phases of mitosis and on and on. And while the content is fascinating, it would be much more enjoyable to learn if we didn't have to know it before 8 am on Friday. Luckily, we are not alone. Here's the truth about biology lectures, as told by Monica Geller.
1. Starting a new chapter is refreshing, you really feel like you will be able to wrap your mind around this one.
2. But as the professor starts explaining each concept, you find yourself getting very confused, very quickly.
3. You look to your friend and realize she doesn't get it either.
4. At some point, you're pretty sure the professor is making some of this stuff up because it seems so far-fetched.
5. And when you try to answer the one question you know, someone beats you to it.
7. Or you do answer the question, but the professor asks you to speak up.
7. Despite the confusion that came from the lecture, you're determined to go home and study the material.
8. The night before the exam is the worst.
9. But, you're determined to power through.
10. And try to remain calm in the process.
11. When you get to the test, there are some questions you absolutely remember studying...
12. Then there are some questions where you make up the answer and hope for the best.
13. Finally, you're free to go! The test is now over and you have at least a few weeks before another one comes around! Enjoy your freedom!
Keep studying, friends! It's worth the hassle!
