Hitting 25+ states this fall, Safe In Sound is a traveling festival with some of the biggest artists in EDM. For somewhere around $25.00, you can see Borgore and a number of other very talented supporting artists. I attended Safe in Sound Indianapolis, and it was simply everything I expected and more.

To start off the night Etc!Etc! dropped lots of heavy bass, which is what the whole night was about. The event took place at downtown Indy’s recent hotspot for electronic shows, The Pavillion at Pan Am. The place has a warehouse feel to it with a very underground rave atmosphere. With a show like Safe in Sound, you know the whole crowd is there for a bass filled night.

Following Etc!Etc! was the one and only Terravita. He complemented the heavy bass and old school dubstep that Etc!Etc! brought, and also threw in some popular classics including “Drop Like an Earthquake” with his own twist on it. He was a crowd pleaser as he brought a dubstep remix of Ookay’s “Thief” and even incorporated some Kanye West into his set making it very diverse. He ended his set leaving everyone wanting more with the addition of an unreleased collaboration with Adventure Club.

Next, Zomboy and Borgore were well worth the wait. I constantly found myself head banging without even noticing. Zomboy has the most contagious stage presence that had the crowd constantly hype and wanting more. Borgore threw constant bangers including Knife Party’s “Centipede” that would catch you very off guard. He played a long set that went very late, bringing out all of the creatures of the night that you usually don’t get to see as most shows in Indy don’t go past midnight. The people, the venue, and most importantly the music, brought out the best in Indy’s electronic scene and it made me feel really at home and definitely safe in sound!

Weather you attended Safe in Sound Indianapolis or are waiting for an upcoming stop near you, you are guaranteed a night of great music and great people. Go to www.safeinsoundfest.com to check out a stop near you and a lineup custom to your city!

female tv characters
We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:

If you are like me, you have an interesting personality. Basically, you love to be sassy and snarky, gossip, and act like a total bitch (not really), but deep down, you are actually a very genuinely nice person. The idea of actually hurting someone truly makes you feel bad, and you probably have never actually hurt someone’s feelings because your kindness always shines through, even if you do not want it to. Not sure exactly what I would call this type of personality, but if you identify with it, here are some feelings you can undoubtedly relate to.
