I love to travel and wish I could do it more. With my love of traveling, I have always had a bucket list of the top places I want to go and some are even checked off!

1. Rome, Italy

When I went to Rome my junior year of high school, I fell in love with the food, the atmosphere and the fashion. I loved walking around and visiting the Fontana de Trevi, the Colosseum and the Pantheon. I tell people, "I ate my way through Rome and Florence, and coming home, the Italian food was not the same." My love of history grew as I saw all the old buildings and knew the stories and the struggles behind them. Visiting Rome again and doing more research into the history of the city so wee where the local spots are would be fun.

2. Barcelona, Spain

When I went to Spain my senior year, I learned some about life. In Oviedo, Spain, life is more family oriented, and I loved that. The way of life in Spain is drastically different than in the United States. When I went to Madrid, I fell in love with the old buildings. My dream is to go to Barcelona, however. Barcelona has some of the best fashion designers head quarters in the world and fashion is a passion of mine. It is the full of fashion and the buildings are amazing. It is a dream of mine to go to Barcelona as I have only been in the airport. I love being able to speak Spanish with the locals and understanding it and that what makes Spain so fun to visit.

3. Santorini, Greece

I am sure you have all seen the amazing picture of the very white houses and the amazing deep blue roofs with the coast line. I look at it often and just imagine how it would look in person. Greece has many beautiful places and Santorini is just one of them. I would like to explore them all but the views in Santorini are so breathtaking that I have to see them. Santorini has more to offer than just views, it has the Nea Kameni and Santorini Caldera. Both are volcanos that are possible for exploration and an amazing landmark.

4. Paris, France

Not being able to speak French will be a small struggle but I have dreamed of going to Paris. The “City of Love” has always been a mystery to me but something I have always wanted to explore. Besides it being one of the homes of fashion, it also has some of the best food. With the most delectable pastries such as macarons. If I could eat my way through Europe, I would. Along with the food and fashion, the lock bridge and Eiffel tower are a site to see as touristy as it is.

5. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Rio de Janeiro is known for some of the best beaches in the world along with some of the best views. Who doesn’t want a vacation to lay on some of the best beaches and relax. Along with the beaches Rio as so much to offer such as Christ de redeemer and fun adventures. Rio offers many opportunities and adventures such as zip lining, bungee jumping and hang gliding.

The list goes on and on including Thailand, Israel, Egypt and many more places. The important thing is that you travel and explore, seeing other cultures changes you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
