The Top 8 Rides at Six Flags

For a fun summer day.

The Top 8 Rides at Six Flags
Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau

This past Friday I went to Six Flags Over Texas, and to save you a little time, I thought I would tell you what I believe to be the top eight rides at Six Flags Over Texas.

1. The Riddler Revenge.

This is number one because it is by far my favorite. If you aren't a huge fan of the straight down roller coasters, this might be a good option for you. This ride operates on a kind of pendulum, swinging up and down, and turns you while you swing. I like it because it's more of a slow-paced ride but is still packed with tons of exhilaration.

2. The Titan.

The Titan is one of Six Flags Over Texas's top rides. It features an exhilarating drop and coils that will have you struggling to keep your eyes open. I personally rode this ride three times in a row because I think it is the perfect mixture of exciting and fun.

3. The New Texas Giant.

The Texas Giant is sure to blow your hair back and knock your head around a bit. This ride has an amazing drop coupled with some killer speed that will have you walking around with wind-blown hair all day.

4. Superman Tower of Power.

This ride is also one of my favorites because I've always been a huge fan of rides that get down to the point, and boy does this one. It's 345 feet tall and you drop straight down, so if you're a fan of that tummy-turning feeling but don't really feel like going on a long ride, this is the one for you.

5. Texas SkyScreamer.

This ride is the perfect fit for riding at the end of your long park day with your partner or even a family member. You go all the way up and see an amazing view of the city and get to feel the wind in your hair. P.S. Taking your shoes off to feel the wind in your toes is a definite must with this one.

6. Runaway Mountain.

I love this ride because you never know what is coming next. This whole ride is in complete darkness so you can't see at all, making it super exhilarating. The one downside to this ride is that it doesn't have anywhere to put your belongings. So, if you are like me and carry a lot, you might want to have one person wait and hold everyone's things while you ride.

7. Batman The Ride.

Oh boy is this ride fast. If you love speed, then this is definitely your ride. Of all of the hair-blowing rides, this is definitely the top.

8. MR. FREEZE: Reverse Blast.

Be forewarned: if you do not like rides that go backward, do not ride this. You start off by shooting straight backwards on this loop and then double back going forwards.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

school

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
