Are you a fan of Fall? Do you fall in love at the sight of red and orange trees that seem to follow you wherever you go? Then you have come to the right place! Now sit back, relax, and let the cool autumn breeze wash away all of your worries! (And grab a blanket while your at it!) These my top 5 Fall favorites!
1. The Wonderful World of Pumpkin Spice
From lattes to candles, it is impossible to walk around a store without seeing or smelling something that is pumpkin spice related. I wait all year long just to be able to sip a piping hot cup of pumpkin spice coffee from Starbucks or Dunkin'. It may be basic, but it is surely delicious.
2. Fall Foliage
If you are lucky enough to live in the Northeast, chances are, fall is your favorite time of year. The colors of the leaves on the trees are absolutely beautiful. Many travel from states all over the US just to see mother nature do her thing. No matter where you go, the scenery will always be romantic, like something out of a movie.
3. The Crisp Air
There is nothing like waking up under a pile full of blankets in the middle of fall. The air is crisp and cool, but not cold enough to make you close your windows. The air is inviting and waiting for you to take a deep breath in and experience everything that this season has to offer. Grab some friends and sit around a fire, or maybe try to set up a little outdoor theater! All you need are a few blankets and some hot apple cider to welcome a cool fall night.
4. Apples and Pumpkins and Gourds, Oh My!
One of my favorite activities to do during the fall is to grab a few friends and go apple picking and pumpkin picking. Sometimes you can take a hayride out to the orchard or field, which always makes for a great story. Other times you just have to trek through the dirt to get to the bright green hills full of golden and red apples. They are absolutely delicious! Make sure you grab an apple cider to bring with you to go with your fresh apples!
5. Sweater Weather
Because of the crisp air, you have an excuse to wear big bulky sweaters. I have a weakness for all things burgundy, so most of my fall/winter wardrobe is burgundy. You are bound to see me in a sweater and decorative scarf, as my mom and I like to call it, from the first day of September until the last possible day that it is acceptable. There are days when I really regret wearing a sweater to class because I end up sweating all the way to the building. This usually happens in the awkward in-between period when one day it will be freezing and the next it becomes a July afternoon in Florida. Either way, at least you're rocking a cute sweater. (It might just live up to its name sometimes.)
