1. Go Offline & Be Present: Often, we spend too much time on our cellphones and laptops. It's time to step away from technology and enjoy what is already around us. Try leaving your phone inside and on silent when hanging out with friends and family.
2. Take More Pictures & Journal: I've learned in the past that as humans, we don't quite remember the full story as it was. Pictures captures memories, while words describe them. I can look back at certain dates in my journal and find out exactly how I was feeling or even what I was wearing on that specific day. It's nice to look back on what you did that past year and see how much you've grown.
3. Get Organized & Live A Simple Life: As we ring in the new year, many people start to clean their closets, kitchens, and drawers. This is good. We need to lift the heavy weights off our shoulders and start fresh. Organization is the key to reduce stress in your life.
4. Live Passionately & Take Risks: We look back on life, and we think of all the things we've done. Cliché, but we never tend to think about staying in our bedrooms and studying. We remember the times we drink a little bit too much and get Jimmy Johns at 2am. Live for these moments. When someone asks you to go on an adventure, just be open about it.
5. Set Your Mind to Something: This could be anything. Whether it's to smile more, or to get active - be passionate. Put your heart and soul into it - 110%. Then, I can assure you that you'll feel fulfillment in your life.
