Netflix has become such a critical part of our culture in recent years. Our society has made Netflix what it is today by avoiding our responsibilites in favor of binge-watching our favorite shows. Netflix is home to so many great shows that have really spoken to me, so here is my a list of my top ten binge-worthy shows that are currently on Netflix:

1. "Supernatural"

My roommate got me into this show and I can honestly say that I love it. From the serious bromance between Sam and Dean, to all of the crazy new creatures they somehow manage to find, this show is never dull.

2. "One Tree Hill"

If you want to watch a show about a bunch of teenagers who find themselves immersed in a heap of endless drama, this is the show for you. It is completely understandable if you find yourself crying thanks to all of the emotion that goes on between Nathan and Haley or from the intense love-triangle between Lucas, Brooke, and Peyton.

3. "The Walking Dead"

Spoiler Alert: Don’t get emotionally attached to anyone in this show because everyone dies. Just when you think things are going to be okay, and that it’s all over, walkers show up again. They never stop. Ever.

4. "Criminal Minds"

Out of all of the crime shows on Netflix (there’s a lot), this one is definitely the best. It incorporates science, mystery, and humor all into one show that you just can’t get enough of. Between Reid’s adorable way of spouting random facts, to Morgan’s flirting with Garcia, your heart can’t help but melt through every episode.

5. "The Office"

If you need a funny show to laugh about at one o’clock in the morning with your friends, this is it. Michael’s crazy way of running the office, Dwight’s randomness, and Jim’s quick wit makes this show so binge-worthy.

6. "Friends"

This show never gets old. All six of these friends add some type of humorous element to the show that makes you never want to stop watching. Plus, Monica and Chandler are easily one of the greatest couples in TV history.

7. "Gossip Girl"

This is one of those shows that you watch and are envious of all of the characters, but you would never actually want to be one of them. Sure they’re all rich and gorgeous, but I would personally stay away from all of the drama on the Upper East Side. For binge-watching purposes though, their drama is definitely a great source of entertainment for all of us poor outsiders.

8. "The Fosters"

This show represents what is means to be a family, as the Adams-Foster's go through tons of drama, painful adoptions, and love affairs.

9. "Pretty Little Liars"

Be warned now, this show is very hard to follow. If you don’t plan on paying careful attention to every episode, this isn’t the show for you. But if you are up for a commitment, PLL is a great show about teenagers trying avoid being killed and/or exposed by the mysterious "A." Every episode is filled with twists, turns, and suspense.

10. "Glee"

This show is a great mixture of drama and random singing. It’s like High School Musical in TV show form. It is guaranteed that you’ll be up and dancing along to every song!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering.
