Most of us are biased in the sense that we love our home state and think it's the best of them all. In high school, I couldn't wait to get out of New Hampshire to see what the rest of the world had in store for me. I quickly learned that I love New Hampshire and that there isn't another state in the United States that would ever top it. New Hampshire will always be my home and my favorite state, no matter where I end up living. Here are my top 10 reasons why I love it and why you might love it as well.

1. The Fall foliage

New Hampshire is known for its beautiful fall foliage, especially in the Monadnock Region. If you haven't seen it before, I highly recommend taking a trip to see the views for yourself.

2. Mount Monadnock

Why not jump on the band wagon and climb the second most-climbed mountain in the world? No matter what time of year, the views from the top are incredible.

3. No sales tax

Need I say more?

4. The state motto

"Live Free or Die" has to be the best state motto that there is.

5. Hampton Beach

No matter what your views are on Hampton Beach, you're still always down to go for a day trip with some friends.

6. Lake Winnipesaukee

If you're not a fan of the ocean, you can always take a trip to a local lake or Lake Winnipesaukee.

7. The White Mountains

Hike all 48 4,000 footers and you can join their club, or hike the Whites for fun! Either way, you won't be disappointed with the views.

8. The memory of the Old Man on the Mountain

Even though he fell, you can still visit the site of where the Old Man on the Mountain once was.

9. New Hampshire maple syrup

If you don't make maple syrup yourself, you know someone or even a few people who do and are more than willing to share! If you're from the Monadnock Region, you know Ben's Sugar Shack, it's probably your favorite.

10. You can always find peace and quiet

Although there are a few small cities throughout the state, you can always find peace and quiet in NH.

If these 10 reasons didn't convince you that New Hampshire is the best state out there, I highly recommend that you take a trip for yourself and see what you have been missing out on. There are many more things to love about New Hampshire than the few that I listed, but these are the 10 that I love the most. Happy exploring!

Fans love her because she isn't afraid to be herself. April can seem cold and negative, but she's really just fearless and strong-minded. And despite her sometimes harsh words, April truly cares about the people she's closest to. These are all reasons she is the epitome of a college student. April complains whenever she has to do any kind of work, but ends up doing the work anyway. April Ludgate is the ultimate college student spirit animal.

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
