Alright guys, it’s officially December. We’re well past Thanksgiving, so nobody can tell you that it’s “too early” for Christmas music. (But let’s be honest, it’s never too early!)
Holiday music can be heard on almost any radio station and I’m sure everyone has a favorite song or two, but I’m here to give you a list of the top 10 Christmas songs.
10. Where Are You Christmas? - Faith Hill
This song had to make the list considering that it's in a class Christmas movie, The Grinch! It's a great counter to all of the upbeat Christmas songs that we always hear around this time of year. (Plus it's great when you're alone in the car and want to belt out a chorus or bridge.)
9. The Christmas Shoes - NewSong
Any song that can make you cry even after hearing it a hundred times is definitely worthy of the list -- I was just listening today and didn't even make it past the first verse before I started sobbing. Some may say that this song is a downer, but it's still a classic Christmas song.
8. Christmas - Trans-Siberian Orchestra
If you try to tell me that you don't manage to sing along to this entirely instrumental song, you're lying.
7. Believe - Josh Groban
Josh Groban's voice is the most soothing thing on the planet. The Polar Express is one of the best Christmas movies. And this song just embodies Christmas. Enough said.
6. Do They Know It's Christmas? - Band Aid 20
Not only is this song extremely catchy and great to sing along to, but it also came out for a charitable cause. With people like Bono on vocals and Sir Paul McCartney playing the instrumental, this song won't be leaving this top 10 list any time soon.
5. The 12 Days of Christmas - Straight No Chaser
This quirky spin on the holiday classic has to be one of the best acapella covers ever. The way that SNC effortless mixes various other holiday songs into this one makes this a shoe-in.
4. White Christmas - Bing Crosby
Bing Crosby is like the grandfather of Christmas. He's the Santa of the holiday music realm, and this song in particular is a classic that everyone can sing along with.
3. Last Christmas - Wham!
This song somehow manages to make me hate an ex that doesn't even exist, so bravo to that.
2. I'll Be Home for Christmas - Michael Buble
If you don't listen to Michael Buble's Christmas album during the holiday season, then you're probably doing Christmas wrong. His renditions of holiday classics are amazing with his Sinatra-esque voice. This song in particular my favorite on the album.
1. All I Want for Christmas is You - Mariah Carey
Let's be honest, whether you love this song or love to hate this song, nothing can stop you from belting along to every word, especially those high notes at the end.
