When it is time to return back to college for yet another year of higher education, you feel like you have it all figured out. For, you are not new to this. This is not your first rodeo. You have done the grind before, you didn't die in the past. You are ready to do it again, better than ever.

When all of a sudden...

The night before school starts:

(9:00 a.m.)

"I can't do this again."

"I'm not doing this again."

"This is not real."

"I'm not going to school tomorrow."

"I'm not doing this again."

"Oh God, i have to."

(Midnight)

"This is real. "

"I guess i'm actually going through with this."

"I probably should organize my backpack for tomorrow."

"I'll pick an outfit too."

"I'm scared."

The first day of class:

(8:00 a.m.)

"Is that you karma? Here to punish me for my many wrong doings."

"What exactly have I done to deserve this torment?"

"I'm hitting the snooze button, i love the snooze button."

(8:15 a.m.)

"The snooze button was a horribly drastic mistake."

"I'm going to be late."

"Oh well, i'm fine with this."

(Drinks a strong black coffee)

"I'm excited about this."

"I love being a student, it's all i've ever known and I will finally be able to master it."

"This is going to be a good year."

(Arrives to Campus)

"Campus seems very full of life."

"This teacher seems great."

"All of these people seem great, i'm about to have so many new friends."

"Why wasn't i looking forward to this?"

"I love how smart i feel."

"Seeing all my friends again is amazing, this is what life is all about."

"This will be the best year ever."

"I cant wait for tomorrow."

"There is so much to look forward to."

(Leaves campus)

"I'm not too excited to read this text book chapter."

(Reads Chapter)

"Glad i'm done with that."

"Tomorrow will be even better."

Tuesday:

(9:00 a.m.)

"Waking up before noon is a feeling i'll be use to in no time."

"I'm excited to be back to the school routine."

"I'm super tired."

(Arrives to campus)

"There's that energy again, gotta love it."

"Alright, this teacher gave me an essay."

"I don't like this teacher."

"This teacher is way out of line."

"Whatever, I'm excited to do this essay, i'll feel so accomplished when i'm done."

"Soon this will be my accustomed lifestyle."

"Everyone seems friendlier this year, in no time someone will talk to me."

"Why won't people talk to me?"

"School is kinda fun."

"It's so stimulating."

(Leaves campus)

"I should probably relax tonight."

"I'm not use to this."

"I don't want to burn myself out."

Wendesday:

(10:00 a.m.)

"Crap, i'm late."

"Did I forget to do any homework?"

"Much has happened this week, i can't keep track."

"It won't be like this for long."

"How did I already forget to do some homework?"

"Good thing it is early in the semester, nothing this early matters."

"I'll be able to catch up."

(Lunch break)

"I love having a break in between my classes, college is sweet."

"When school 'actually' starts, I'll use this break to be productive."

"I will never have to do school work at night again."

(Returns to class)

"That disgusting food is making my stomach hurt, i need a nap."

"One more class and i'll deserve a nap."

(Leaves campus)

(3:15 p.m.)

"Finally home, I should nap."

"Actually, I got some stuff to do and i don't want to fall behind."

"I'll start on some work."

(3:30 p.m.)

"My old friend wants to hangout."

"It would be kinda rude to say no."

"College is about the social experiences as well, this is not a bad choice."

(11:00 p.m.)

"How did I let that happen."

"I have so much stuff to do."

"I did have a little bit of fun though."

"After tomorrow, only one more day of classes till the beloved weekend."

"I can do this."

(2:00 a.m.)

"Sweet, i'm done with everything."

"Ready for tomorrow."

"I'm excited, but OH GOD, i have my first 8:00 a.m. tomorrow."

Thursday:

(7:00 a.m.)

"..."

(10:00 a.m.)

"I need some discipline."

"Everyone seems as dead as I am."

"I'm sad."

"Everyone is sad."

"Already? People are wearing sweats and Pj's to class."

"Oh god, I hate school."

"This sucks so much."

"Feels like i've been in classes for a month now."

"Lesson learned though, i'll never be so foolish again."

(Leaves Campus)

"Please, for the love of God, don't let my phone ring with temptations."

Phone rings.

"I should answer this."

Friday:

(8:00 a.m.)

"I'm hungover."

"Too Hungover for this."

"..."

(3:00 p.m.)

"Finally, i'm done with this first week of school."

"Tonight i should go celebrate with my friends."

"Good thing I got all weekend to be productive."

"I learned valuable lessons about productivity this week."

"I'll be productive this weekend."

One of the scariest things we will ever face in our life is going to college. Many of us move away to a new town, join new organizations, and make new friends. We are expected to study, have a social life, relationships, maybe work, and be healthy. It seems pretty easy to do, and in high school all we wanted to do was graduate and move on to this next chapter of our lives. If you are in high school, here are some things that you can learn from before you get to college. If you have already been through your freshman year of college, hopefully you can relate to the things I have learned in college.

10 Truths About Being In A Sorority

(For Girls Who Are Interested In Greek Life)

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.
