7 Things You Experience When You Move Away From Your Best Friend
Macee Hammack

Many of the late nights of high school were spent with a car ride to one of our houses to spend the night having quality time. I knew there would be a time that I would have to leave, I knew that it would be hard. I never realized how hard it will be, I do know that we will make it and be stronger than ever.

1. The first time you had to leave each other for a long period.

One of the hardest goodbyes was the first one... We will get through this, OK?

2. Seeing them hang out with their other new "best friend"

It's almost like a significant other cheating on you. They are mine, they are not to be friends with anyone until I say so. You still have to be happy that they are happy, sometimes that is just hard.

3. Having to have them send pictures for every event they may attend.

Okay, I know I may be a little too obsessive, but can I get some more pictures? You are just too dang pretty.

4. The phone bill........

Maybe you won't talk on the phone for a while, but when you do its hours of catching up and filling each other in.

5. Having to explain what has been happening in each other's lives.

You mean to tell me, YOU DID WHAT?

6. Just missing each other.

There is nothing to hide when it comes to being away from your best friend for long periods of time, it really just stinks.

7. Being reunited and nothing changes...

You are my best friend and nothing will change that. Miles and hours apart may have tried to keep our mischevious minds apart but it didn't work.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
