With the massive amount of media outlets and thousands of ways to get current news, there are some misconceptions about what is really going on in the political world. Whether you support Trump or not, there are millions of things that him and his cabinet, along with the entire government, are going to propose, sign and put into action. However, with the negative outlook that surrounds our 45th president, it’s difficult to get the positive and useful information out to the American people. So in Trump’s first week of presidency, here are some positive things that were done that the media most likely didn’t bring to your attention.

1. He reopened the possibility of reviving the Alaskan pipeline projects. Although controversial, this pricey project would increase production in the United States, start to improve climate issues, and supply jobs to thousands along the way. And to make matters even better- he stated that all steel used in the process must be American made.

2. He's opened up new foreign communications and possible foreign affairs with leaders and world's most powerful government. This not only increases business options and foreign support for emergency situations, but it also opens up endless possibilities for the US to explore foreign options. He's working with Russia's Putin and even North Korea's Kin Jong Un.

3. Trump is working to strengthen our borders, minimizing illegal immigration and stopping the influx of refugees fleeing to America. With our national debt increasing, we don't have the funds to support those who enter our country illegally. Although super controversial, it's something that needs to be done that the Obama administration got out of hand.

4. Trump formed a plan to defeat ISIS. He and his foreign affairs and homeland security aides created the NSC memorandum in order to plan out a cohesive plan in order to take down ISIS and protect America.

So although the media works its complete hardest to display Trump as an inexperienced nut job that will lead America to its death, there are good things that he's doing. If you dig deep enough, you'll find them.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
