To My Boyfriend, Thank You
Rowan After Hours

Where do I even begin? I met you at the beginning of this school year, not expecting to get so close with you at all. I was fighting it because, due to past experiences, I didn't want to let someone in again. I didn't want to get hurt and let down again from somebody I happened to be super close with. In an instant, you became my best friend. Feelings developed. Little did I know that I would ever come to the point of never wanting to lose you and never wanting to live a life without you.

Throughout these amazing times we have spent together so far, I've looked up to you. I've been with you almost every day, making multiple memories and sharing stories old and new. I love being with you, and I adore the loving bond we have. You already know that I would write a novel for you to make you see how much you matter. But I really do want you to understand how grateful I am to have you as my best friend and boyfriend. I say it, but I feel like I don't say it enough. This is the "thank you" you deserve.

Thank you for getting me out of my comfort zone. This means the world to me. I was the shy person who loved to hide who I really was, afraid of judgement. You changed that. I was never involved with any clubs or organizations on campus. You brought me into two different organizations that I never planned on joining, and I made a lot of new friends. I broke out of my unbreakable shell, because you encouraged me to! I owe it all to you.

Thank you for being there for me. I realize that I have a boatload of ups and downs, and sometimes there are way too many things on my plate to even deal with. But you are always around to make me feel better. You constantly remind me that you're a text or call away whenever I need you. I'm so happy to always have that person there for me, and I'm glad that person is you. I now know that I can count on you and you will never let me down. Shout out to you for lending me a shoulder to cry on during my moments, also. Being appreciative of that is an understatement.

Thank you for dealing with me. Handling me can be a lot. I'm sometimes sorry that you have to deal with me, but you choose to stay. I know I can be angry at times, and other times I'm sad. You're such a champ. I wonder why you stay with a crazy girl like me. But I'm extremely grateful for it. I'm very lucky to have someone who sticks with me through all of the storms.

Thank you for making me smile and laugh. Comedy is essential in life. You know that smiling and laughing are things I enjoy doing, and you make that happen for me. You take advantage of every chance you get to tickle me endlessly. You lift my spirits by taking me out or staying in with me watching a funny movie on Netflix. This is one of the things I love about you: going out of your way and using your silliness to help me crack a grin or chuckle. You're the best for that!

Thank you for being you. I don't ask for much, but I've told you many times that you don't need to impress me for any reason. You don't need to change who you are to make me happy, because I'm already happy. I'm in love with you for who you are as a person. Please, don't ever change. I can't wait to spend our future with your amazing personality.

Thank you for loving me. I am most grateful for this. This too means the world. I will forever remember our dinner dates, you holding open the door for me, driving around and singing Christmas songs, and the rest of the love and happiness you bring to me. It's the simple things. I can't wait for the future. Spending it with you will be one of the best highlights of my life. Also, even though we can get hotheaded and fight sometimes, we always find a way to work it all out. Thank you SO much for loving me for who I am and thank you for doing the things you do. I appreciated you then, I appreciate you now, and I will appreciate you forever!

There are no possible words to describe how much you truly mean to me. I literally could go on and on about how you've positively impacted my life and how charismatic you are in our relationship, but I would run out of time. You are loved.

You are my best friend. Thank you. I love you forever and always.

Just a little bit, love.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
