Ever since I was little, terrorism has been a part of my life. I was only 5 years old when the Twin Towers came crashing down on September 11, 2001. So ever since I was 5 years old I’ve had extensive airport security and metal detectors be the norm. There was a time when people didn’t have fear when they were in a crowded place, but now there is a constant reminder that it happened once and it can happen again. Every time we go to the movies or Time Square or even a mall, a terrorist attack can happen at any moment.

Isis is making constant attacks/ threats and they are all over the news. It started with beheadings and torturing people and is now turning into full-fledged terrorism with bombings and missiles. The beheadings were just the beginning, they wanted us to know their name and know that we were in for a battle. The latest on Fox News was pictures of Isis’ weapon labs that show heat seeking missiles and bombs. This is the world we live in now. We are in constant fear that the people who surround us can be part of an organization that wants “death to America”. I’m not saying I agree with Donald Trump and saying we need to ban every Muslim from America because not all terrorists are Muslim, but something definitely needs to be done.

More extensive background checks should be had as well as better preparation for when an attack does happen. Fox News stated, “Isis are leagues ahead of their terrorist predecessors.” They are more advanced than the man, Osama Bin Laden, who single-handedly put New York as well as the rest of the United States into a state of panic over 14 years ago. As we all know, 9/11 was easily the worst thing to ever happen to the United States and for people to be saying that Isis is much more advanced than that, is extremely scary.

Living in this world, we are constantly in fear that something is going to happen. This is not something our parents had to deal with nor is it something that future generations should grow up with. This needs to end. The fact that we have pictures and videos of their labs where they make bombs, we should be able to track where they are or find ways to stop them in their tracks. If Isis is as smart as we are making them out to be, we need to be one step ahead of them. I don’t want to live in constant fear anymore and neither should the rest of us. It is time to stop living in fear because we are giving them exactly what they want.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
