Finals week is a time of year that as college students, we both dread and relish. We eagerly anticipate the end of the semester and the celebration of Christmas, and loathe the whirlwind of stress and nerve wracking anxiety that proceeds our favorite holiday. So here are the ten emotional stages of college finals week as told by the cast of The Office.

1. Panic

This stage starts the last day of classes before finals as you realize the weight of the information covered over the course of the semester, and the burden of all you don't know and need to remember and recall in less than 72 hours.

2. False Sense of Security

This stage occurs on in the late morning of Saturday before finals. The time before your first final seems pretty long. You begin to think you just might have too much time on your hands to study for finals and complete the last essays due.

3. Confusion

This ensues when you start your review of your notes and the phrases "where did this come from", "I have never seen this before" and "I don't even know how to guess what this is" start to run through your mind.

4. Bargaining

As the overwhelming amount of panic and desperation start to coat your soul, you say "God, please help me pass finals" and desperately try to bargain with God.

5. Guilt

As you try to avoid a complete emotional and psychological breakdown, you decide to take a break and watch an episode of The Office or How I Met Your Mother on Netflix, this is a mistake as one episode turns into four, and then into a whole season, and before you know it you've wasted so much precious time.

6. Hunger

What goes better with stress and late night than Taco Bell at 2:00 a.m. or ice cream for dinner. Either way for most of us at least, the stress eating is real.

7. Sleeplessness

Now that you've had your procrastination moment and it's completely out of your system, you've calculate how long each topic is going to take you ,and sleep is not an option. Brew up the pot of coffee or chug a can of 5 hour energy because it's going to be a long night.

8. Hopelessness

This is the moment when you completely loss it between the panic, the sleep deprivation and over-caffeinated, nothing is making sense, You deeply want your bed and to possibly change your name and leave the country. You are desperately trying to keep it together, but it's a loss case. You are starting to have nightmares of completely blanking on your final, and your future as a homeless person.

9. Acceptance

This is the moment that you realize that the score you receive on a final is not the be all end all of the world, and that all you can do is try your best.

10. Relief

This is the glorious moment when all of your finals, essays and projects are in the books, and friend you did it. All of your worry and stress was for naught because you achieved your goals and now get to go home and sleep for at least three days. You are Beyonce always.

Happy Finals Friends!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
