Unless you've been living under a rock for the past decade, you're probably familiar with at least a few of the singer-songwriter Taylor Swift's songs. Taylor released her first album, "Taylor Swift," in 2006 at the age of 16. Her songs on this album were all written her freshman year of high school. Since the release of this album, she has released four more albums and risen to stardom. A majority of Taylor's songs are about love and chances are that in the past nine years, she has written a song that relates to the current state of your love life.

1. "Tear Drops on My Guitar": When the boy you like has a girlfriend and doesn't notice you

We've all been there. You probably listened to this song on repeat in sixth grade as you prayed that the "love of your life" would realize that he's supposed to be with you. Unfortunately, the sad reality is that Drew is in love with someone else and there is nothing you can really do other than keep wishing on that wishing star.

2. "Bad Blood": When you get in a fight with a friend or significant other and end up hating each other

For whatever reason, you and someone you used to be close with ended on bad terms. This could be a friend who stabbed you in the back or maybe a boyfriend who cheated on you. Perhaps a guy cheated on you with one of your friends. That would make you have "bad blood" for both of them.

3. "White Horse": When he really screws up and then wants you back, don't take him back

This is when the guy who you absolutely adored royally screwed up and then claims he's seen the "error of his ways," but in reality, you're better off without him. The relationship had been deteriorating for a while, and whatever he just did was the last straw. You know that there is someone out there who is better for you, because the right guy isn't going to be constantly letting you down. He wants you back, and it's everything you wanted, but you know that you can do better.

4. "Enchanted": When you meet a guy and all of a sudden you're planning your entire future out with him in your head

You all know how it is. You met a guy at a party and engaged in a sarcastic conversation for 15 minutes before he got your number, and now all you can do is stare at your phone and wait for a text. You hardly know him and that's why it's so perfect. Ignorance is bliss. You have no idea if he's actually a terrible guy and that's why it's so amazing. All you can do is imagine the possibilities for you two if he turns out to be a good guy.

5. "Picture to Burn": When you really hate your ex

He probably goes down as your biggest regret when it comes to your love life. This is for the guy who really messed up and you just want to prove to everyone and him that you're over him. You delete all evidence that you dated off of social media and throw out every remnant of him that you have.

6. "Wildest Dreams": When you know it's all too sweet to last

This is for the person you fall head over heels for, completely aware that it is all going to end in the near future. It's for that summer romance that you know has to come to an end once you part ways in the fall, but you make the most of your time together. A part of you hopes it will never end, but you know that it's only going to be a matter of time. All you can do is cherish your time together while it lasts.

7. "Forever and Always": When your relationship is literally crumbling apart in front of your eyes

One of the worst feelings in the world is knowing that your relationship is completely falling apart and having no idea why. This song is for when you're just waiting for it to end because your so miserable, but at the same time you just long to go back to when it was all OK. He's icing you out and all you want is for him to tell you that everything is alright, but you know that you two are broken beyond repair.

8. "Last Kiss": When it's actually over

The worst thing about a last kiss is that you usually have no idea that it's the last one until it's all over and you realize you didn't appreciate it enough. This song is for when your relationship is actually over and you have to accept the fact that there is nothing more you can do to fix it. It's for when you've resorted to stalking his Instagram because you have no idea if he's even alive anymore. You've accepted that the person that you used to know the best is now a complete and utter stranger. You just want him to miss you, but you don't have the slightest idea how to do that.

9. "Style": For the guy you always go back to

This is for the guy who is always going to be unfinished business. He's the one you go back to every winter and summer break. This is the guy that for reasons beyond your control, he can never truly be yours, but he always comes back. No matter how badly it ends, it always falls back into place.

10."I Knew You Were Trouble": When you went for a bad boy and you realize how stupid you were

Every girl falls for a bad boy at least once in her life. You're not actually stupid, because we've all been there. You fell for him because he was an ass to everyone except you and you felt special. Then he started to treat you worse and worse and then you started to appreciate him when he showed that he cared in the smallest possible way because something is better than his typical nothing. You realize that you shouldn't have gotten involved with a bad boy because as alluring as they seem, they really are just bad news.

11. "Begin Again": When you're ready to start over with someone new

This is when you're starting something new and everything is so much better than your last relationship. Everything that was toxic in you past relationship is gone, and this new guy is polite, funny, and kind. For the first time in a long time, everything is so good and you feel like you're ready to let your past go and move on.

12. "Mine": When you're completely in love and you've found the "one"

This is when you finally realize that you have met the one you will spend the rest of your life with. You two have overcome every obstacle that's come in your way and you are truly happy.

The list could go on and on, as Taylor Swift has a song for any occasion.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
