You’ve been counting down the days since the tour dates were released, you were on the computer hours before pre-sale even started, you’ve had your poster and your outfit planned out for months, but now it’s finally here: the 1989 World Tour. If you’re anything like me, a fellow Swiftie, you have absolutely no idea what to do with yourself. “What do I say if I meet her?”, “What if I pass out at the concert?”, “I am so excited to hear Blank Space live, and Clean, and every other song on her set list” have been just a few of my thoughts over the last week. The process of preparing for the concert, from beginning to end, should go a little like this...
1. Finding out Taylor Swift is coming to your town for the 1989 World Tour.
2. Waiting for tickets to go on sale.
3. When you finally get your tickets.
4. When you come up with a great idea for your poster.
5. But then find out there are rules against the size of posters this year.
6. And you have to start all over.
7. Putting the finishing touches on your costume/outfit.
8. Mentally preparing yourself.
9. The night before.
10. The day of.
11. On the way there.
12. Waiting for Taylor to come on stage.
13. Watching her perform your favorite song.
14. When the concert ends and you have to go home.
15: Post-concert depression.
The 1989 World Tour will be one of the best nights of your life, so prepare yourself well, physically, mentally, and emotionally. Find a great outfit, make an insane poster, scream, cry, take photos, sing along, and most importantly, have the time of your life. Remember to breathe every once in a while and don't forget your tickets (like I almost did)!
