The Tale of Becoming a G

One of the most well known aspects of sorority life is the relationship between a big and a little. But here is one question that comes to mind the older you get.. what a bout the Grand Big, or for shorter terms the G. What's your role now? Welcome to the tales of becoming a G.

First things first, you have to come to terms with the fact that you are going o have to share your little. Just as much as you love them they are most likely going to feel the same way about their little too. so hold on to your little extra tight during big little week because soon her arms are going to be cuddling the new addition to your fam.

You are the support system! Be ready to do whatever your little needs during big little week. You've been there and you know it's stressful so help out in anyway you can. Even if that means putting your clothes at risk in order to perfect the perfect chalking experience.

Be excited! The last thing your little wants is to feel like you aren't excited about her little.

Take pictures of everything! Your little and G will love going back and looking at the week that officially brought them together.

Accept the fact that you are now the fam photographer, especially on reveal day. So yes that is your voice screaming "Geee" in the background of the video of your little and G hugging.

Love on your G as much as you can without over stepping your little. You want them to feel welcomed, wanted and loved not just by their big but by their whole fam.

Last but not least sit back, have a laugh, think back to this time and thank god that you don't have to full frce endure the stress like you did last year...

Happy Big/Little week and enjoy it! It goes by way too fast. WELCOME TO THE FAM TO ALL THE NEW G's!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
