It's that time. Time to get off the couch, turn off Netflix and start hitting the books again. The holidays are over and all your friends are back spread across the country. It's still cold a there's probably snow on the ground even though it's supposed to be the "spring" semester. What sense does that make? At least every college student across this country gets to feel all these crappy feelings together.
There's still 5 months until the summer, AKA warmth
It's called "spring semester" for a reason.
You have to find time to finish that Netflix series you started over break
I started with the intentions of finishing... i will find time in my busy schedule.
When your professor assigns four chapters to read before the first day of class
Just...why.
You can no longer sleep until noon and avoid all responsibility
Well, you could.. but it probably wouldn't go over well
All the money you made over winter break is now gone due to the overpriced textbooks you'll use once
$300 dollars for a 20 page book? No problem, here take all my money.
Home cooked meals are no longer an option
My cooking might be okay, but nothing like my mothers. Plus, i don't have to put in any effort when she does it.
Pretending to be excited to see people you really don't care to see
"Oh my god! How are you? I missed you so much!" I didn't though...
"Please tell us your name, your major and one fun fact about yourself"
Every. single. time.
The decision between going out with friends or sleeping
Going out and getting drunk with my friends sounds like a blast, but my bed is also my best friend.
Overall, no one really enjoys the beginning of the new semester, but we all know we're happy to be back at the same time in some weird, twisted way.
