It doesn't matter if you have lived in the snow for a month or for your whole life; snow makes life more difficult no matter how experienced you are with it. Sure, you may find it beautiful and exciting at times, but other times, you want to get the heck out of snow country and move to a nice island where the only thing you have to worry about is getting your tan on. Snow isn't all bad, but let's be honest, your life would be a lot less complicated if you didn't have to deal with the following...
1. Your car gets stuck literally everywhere you go.
It doesn't matter where you go, or where you park. If there is snow on the ground, your car will struggle. Bring on the sand and ice melter.
2. You slip on this practically invisible thing called black ice and it leads to extreme embarrassment or extreme pain.
One must always be on the lookout for the sneaky, culprit.
3. You have to drive about 20 MPH because even with snow tires and 4WD, your car can’t hang with the wet, icy roads.
If you're not careful, snow could get the best of you and your car. Exercise extreme caution.
4. You have to wear five layers because you don’t want to freeze outside, but then once you get inside, you’re dying because the heat is on full blast.
No, you can't win.
5. The town goes from gorgeous and white, to dirty and black once all the snow starts to melt.
And how about all those disgusting snow piles that accumulate and sit in different parking lots for months at a time because they take forever to melt?
6. The one day your car decides to cooperate, you get stuck behind a person who is sliding all over the road.
Stay far away from this person.
7. You have to plan your whole day or week in advance because even though the snow is a valid excuse for tardiness, your teacher/coach/boss doesn't allow it.
Being late to class, practice and/or work is never an option.
8. Shoveling snow is just the worst thing ever.
Who wants to stand outside in the cold, relocating tons of snow into a large pile?
9. The lines in the parking lot are all covered so people just decide to make up their own parking spot and it results in a big mess.
Let's just make zigzags with our cars, why don't we?
10. You have to change your socks about 10 times each day because your sneakers get soaked.

11. Soaked, snowy sneakers lead to gross, wet floors in your home.
This is just plain nasty.
12. Even when it has stopped snowing, somehow a light breeze hits and this causes the trees to start dropping snow which hits you in the eyes and face unexpectedly.
Of course, I'd love some white, wet snowflakes to land on my face and freeze my skin off. That sounds wonderful.
