Being a girl is hard; as I'm typing this, my fake nails are slipping off the keys. I've just got done running but instead of jumping into the shower I'm writing my article waiting for some of the sweat to dry (ew) so I can take off my sports bra in less than 15 minutes without dislocating my shoulder, and it got me thinking. Without further ado, here are eight things that make being a girl really hard.
1. Wet sports bras
Who needs straight jackets when a little sweat and spandex leads to your second round of cardio?
2. Fake nails
They're so pretty... until they chip or get loose or you have to pick up something or open a can of soda... still worth it, though.
3. Charging your phone before showering
Because you have to shave and that's going to take a while and shaving in silence just sucks.
4. Shaving
I could write a whole article just about this...
5. Dressing up
Do I wear a dress and have it awkwardly not fit my boobs/shoulders/waist/butt or spend time trying to match slacks and a blouse (that still won't fit my shoulders and/or boobs)?
6. Mansplaining
7. Periods
Call me crazy while I have blood pouring out of my body, I dare you. Just give me chocolate.
8. Long hair
It's gorgeous, assuming I live through choking on it after walking to class in the wind.
9. Being over-sexualized
Dress codes in school be like "girls must dress to invoke pure thoughts in the boys." Excuse me but I have to go protect the men from my sensual shoulders.
