Growing Up And Growing Into Your Own Belief

People grow up, and when people grow up they become their own person, with their own beliefs. When you are raised a certain way it is fine because you are young, still figuring out life and who you are and what you believe in. I have become my own person, and I chose to convert to Judaism on my own. People whisper behind my back saying, "I did it over love" when in reality, I chose it. Judaism speaks to me just like your religion speaks to you. People tell me all the time that I am going to Hell, but who are they to say who goes where and what religion is the correct religion? There are so many religions out there and then there is Atheism. You get to choose to believe or not to believe in anything or any God. People's negative words about me, "going to Hell" is not going to stop me from converting to Judaism. How would you feel hearing all the time that you are going to Hell because of who you are? You would feel terrible about yourself and will most likely be kept from expressing yourself. Those types of people are suppressing others and that is not very fair. Not me, I'm going to speak my mind and keep living the way I want because I can and it is my life. People shouldn't be shamed for who they are just because you don't agree with them. People shouldn't be miserable living a life that is not theirs just because you don't agree with them, so you feel the need to make others feel they are not allowed to live their life, their way.

On to the positives, Judaism is very spiritual and peaceful. It helps clear your mind and see things clearly. The religion is very beautiful (as well as others) as far as spirituality goes and other things. I've studied other religions since the sixth grade out of curiosity in what people believe in. A lot of the religions I studied were powerful and very beautiful in their cultures. Judaism just spoke to me more as I got older and became my own person. I feel more happy, free, spiritual and more of myself. I believe those feelings are more than anyone could ask to feel. It's wonderful to finally feel like yourself and to be happy to be yourself. I started a spiritual cleanse for over a month now along with eating vegetarian. I have made many changes in my life to feel more like myself and to be happier. We sometimes need to make changes in our lives in order to find ourselves and sometimes not staying in one place is ok. Why? Because sometimes the new things we try out are not our thing or the place we were in, was not who we are. We just need to find ourselves in the best way we can. Never back down and never let anyone change your mind on your path in life! Stay true to you. Just like Eminem said, "Don't let them 'em say you ain't beautiful oh they can all get f*cked. Just stay true to you."

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
