When it comes to writing, there will eventually be a time in your life when you just can’t think of anything to write about. You may have an idea pop up in your head, yet you don’t know how to put it into words in a way that will make sense. The minutes pass by, and your screen remains blank. Finally, the time comes when you start to write something down, only for you to dispose of your writing and go back to the drawing board.
We have all had a case of writer’s block. Whether it’s writing a paper for class or writing an article for a newspaper, anyone who writes has had at least one bout of writer’s block. In fact, when figuring out what to write for this week’s article, I had some trouble thinking of a topic. I asked friends if they had any ideas but none of them really stuck with me. And right when I was going to give up, I thought of something. Why don't I write about my inability to write? It seems like a silly thought, but I know I'm not the only one who is wondering how to get unstuck.

The next time you have a case of writer’s block remember that there are no limits to writing. Everything and anything can be a topic. Maybe you want to write about the sky, ostriches, or you can write about not having anything to write about, just like this one. Let that mind of yours go to places it’s never been before. Just think outside the box. You are bound to stumble upon something that’s worth writing about.
That's what writers do.
