10 Of The Strangest Movies To Watch On Netflix

Every once in a while, it's a lot more fun to stay in and binge watch movies on Netflix by yourself instead of partying. Here are some of the most random and weirdest movies to watch during your solo movie night.

1. "The Overnight"

I mean, anything with Adam Scott is bound to be hilarious. This movie just continues to get weirder with each minute. By the end, I promise you're going to be asking yourself, "What the hell did I just watch?"

2. "Felt"

This one is more of a psychological thriller that is, basically, unlike anything you've ever seen before. It can be scary and disturbing, but it won't lose your interest.

3. "The Conspiracy"

If you're into conspiracy theories and learning about secret societies, this one is for you. Throughout the entire thing you're going to be asking yourself, "Wait, is this really happening?"

4. "Ned Rifle"

This film is hilarious, suspenseful and downright weird. Plus, who doesn't love Aubrey Plaza? She plays a lipstick obsessed sociopath who decides to follow a boy who is trying to kill his dad? This film is full of insane twists but all comes together in the end.

5. "The Road Within

This movie follows a group of three kids who all have their own disorders and go on an eventful road trip. It has the same kind of vibe as "Skins" and definitely keeps you on your toes.

6. "Comet"

Not only is this movie filmed beautifully, but it has an extremely unique plotline. It's romance, comedy and sci-fi but all in one. It follows a couple's long-term relationship in an intense way.

7. "Welcome to Me"

Kristin Wiig is absolutely hilarious in this movie. She plays the role of a mentally unstable woman who wins the lottery and produces her own TV show. If that doesn't sound super strange and intriguing to you, then I would be very surprised.

8. "The One I Love"

I can't say too much about this one because I'll give it away, but let me just say it's not your normal romantic comedy. It has an insane twist and you'll probably end up forcing all of your friends to watch it like I did.

9. "The Loft"

This movie is definitely a rollercoaster. It's suspenseful, disturbing, and even a little confusing at times. Five friends own a secret loft together to have secret affairs, but when a woman is found dead there, the movie takes a frightening turn.

10. "Seeking a Friend for the End of the World"

This movie features an unlikely couple, Keira Knightley and Steve Carell. It's a bit odd at first, but the couple definitely grows on you and this movie ends up getting weird.

So next Friday night, instead of going out to an obnoxious party, take some time to cuddle with your pillow and watch some weird sh*t on Netflix.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

One Book Made Me Question Existence In Its Entirety

"The Stranger" by Albert Campus touches upon many heavy elements... but not in the way you expect. Although it touches upon the aspects of death and love, it also deals with a hidden philosophy similar to that of nihilism.

The story follows the short life events of Meursault, a Frenchman whose carelessness for his actions eventually ends him in jail and dependent on a jury of people to judge the ethicality of his decision and the punishment that he deserves. He eventually gets the death penalty and all throughout he is nonchalant and almost apathetic towards his situation. He finally snaps when the prison sends a priest to him to absolve him of his sins and to cajole him in confessing to the lord.
