The Story Of Wanderer Bracelets

A couple weeks ago while scrolling through Instagram, my eyes became drawn to a post with a picture of a bracelet with coordinates on it. The name of the account was called wandererbracelets and I was immediately interested in the page. Looking further into it, I found the website for the company and discovered a beautiful business.
Wanderer Bracelets is a company that creates bracelets and sells them online. The founders created it after visiting Bali and meeting an artisan who showed them what Bali is all about. The bracelets are made by artisans in Bali, Indonesia. These artisans are employed by weaving nylon thread together creating beautiful bracelets. By doing so, the artisans preserve the tradition of bracelet making in their country. The bracelets come in several different colors and also have a variety of symbols you can choose from such as a hook, peace hand, an anchor, or a coordinate plate that can be attached to the bracelet. These symbols are carved out of buffalo bone. The prices range between $18-22 and include free shipping.
What is so unique about the coordinate bracelets is that you are able to type in a place anywhere in the world and the coordinates will pop up. Then, the coordinates will be carved into a small piece and intertwined on the bracelet you purchase. Whether it's your favorite vacation spot, your hometown, or just somewhere you enjoy to be, you will always have the coordinates of that specific location on your wrist. I think that's something so beautiful and different and for sure a conversation starter!
By purchasing these bracelets, you are helping a family in need and providing them employment since jobs are not as common and available in other countries as they are in the United States. Wanderer also preserves the tradition of handmade jewelry and avoids the use of machines.
I, for one, love things that are handmade and have meaning to them. Our lives are changing every day, rapidly. The place you are now may not be the place you are forever. Having a bracelet that has coordinates of a place I am or once was at has so much meaning and is unique. More importantly, I will have it forever!
Wanderer Bracelets pose the words Where I Wander all over their website as well as their Instagram page. Instagram users and other followers respond by posting photos of where he or she goes as well as sharing snapshots of the bracelets. So I leave you with this: Where do you wander?

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

There are moments where we count down the hours until work is over and how many more days till the weekend, and this many weeks until something exciting. Or something like that? Well, I was bumming because my next day off from work is not until Memorial Day weekend, which is not until the end of May. And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.
