The tanned goodness strikes me from a distance
I whole-heartedly reach out and succumb
Bronze skin tantalizes my resistance
Soothing aroma wafts from the crumbs
The choices to compliment the taste
Explode in my mind, hazelnut to cherry
Symphonic highways impossible to waste
For our consuming love I am wary
For you could bring unnecessary death
Is it worth it? To fulfill the unknown
I could bring you to my lips; a last breath
And be raised to the questionable throne
I want to understand the occasion
But it would not be worth the elation.
