That night I had slept amazing, with dreams filled with happiness and friendship, rather than the usual sadness and bullying. I never slept like that before, and the usual dark circles under my eyes are much lighter, my skin much brighter than its usual colorless hue. I walk into Sieri's room only to find her still asleep. Looking at the clock, It says 7:45. Class starts at 8.

“Sieri? It's time to wake up! Class starts at 8:00… and you still need to eat and get dressed…” I say tiptoeing over to her bed. “Sieri…” I whispered, smirking at my new found idea. Once I get over to her bed, I bring my hands to her stomach, just as I am about to start tickling her, she starts screaming,”No! I’m sorry! Please! Please don't hurt me!” Without even opening her eyes she curled her slender body into a ball, and started sobbing.

“Sieri! It's alright! I promise I won't hurt you! Please stop screaming…” I moved my hand to her back, and started rubbing it as I brought her body closer to mine. At this, she stops her screaming, but continues bawling.

“Tell me what is wrong.”I whisper softly.

“I’m not from here, ya know? I’m not from Witchwood.” She whispers back.

“So you are from one of the other cities?” I question. There are other cities, but Witchwood was the most populated, and also the capital for the Magic Born

“Yes. I'm from Plebis…”

“I have never heard of that place before… what's it like there? I bet you miss home… why didn't you go to school there? All magic born cities have schools for their children to g-”

“They do have a school. You have never heard of it because it's very small. And no, I do not miss home and I never will!” She yells again, this time in my face causing me to flinch.

“What happened? We can just skip school. Tell me what happened.”

“Al-alright…”

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
