Pokémon Go is a app that's been sweeping the nation. Young and old play, and chances are, you've been tempted to try it because you probably have weird friends who have begged you to.

So, you download this app to check it out, and at first you're skeptical.

But then you catch your first pokémon, and everything changes.

You want to go everywhere and catch all the pokémon! So you start walking around, but then feel weird about doing so because you keep seeing people younger than you in packs playing, while you're a lone college student just trying to catch them all.

So you try to keep it lowkey, until you find people your age playing and you can go out in public with them.

And they teach you all these things that you didn't know before, like you can swipe for equipment at Pokéstops! And transfer pokémon you don't want! You can even evolve!

Until you get to a public area that's so infested with people and Pokémon that the servers crash, your phone freezes, or the app won't load so you have to stand around talking to people.

So you stop playing for the day and go home. However, the next day you find out you work at a Pokéstop, which you're trying to resist playing at, because you're trying to be responsible and adult.

But you soon get so bored you can't resist, so you have to improvise.

Finally, your work day is over, and you can go catch Pokémon! But the minute you start playing again, it seems like everyone in the world wants to text or call you. And you have no desire to hang out right now.

But soon your phone battery will die, and you'll have to reunite with society until it revives again. Until that day comes, happy Pokémon hunting!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings.
