When finals week is on its way, and Baylor's dead days have arrived, there are certain stages that students experience. I feel that words are not nearly precise enough to describe the feeling so I shall instead use SpongeBob .GIFs. In advance, you're welcome.
Stage 1: Confidence
You know this stuff! You've taken a whole class on it! It's not easy, but you will study hard and can probably get at least a B+? Maybe even an A-! You know what? Shoot for the stars! A+!
Stage 2: Procrastination
You're definitely gonna study. You will! But maybe... well, not right now of course. Not tonight. It can wait for another day.
Stage 3: Denial
This test won't even be that hard! I know this stuff. Finals are a long way away, we have time!
Stage 4: Regret
I should've studied. Definitely before now. Probably weeks ago. Probably from the second this semester started. That is how much help I need.
Stage 5: Panic
NO TIME LEFT! GET ALL THE HANDOUTS YOU WERE EVER GIVEN.
Stage 6: Get Hyped
WE CAN DO IT! MAYBE? YES.
Stage 7: Cramming
I will just read all my notes as I walk to the final and that should be good? And some of the chapters. That's good, right? I can do that.
Stage 8: (can skip if strong constitution) CRYING
Need I say more?
Stage 9: Taking the Test (DEATH)
I know some of the answers... Maybe.
Stage 10: Pre-Confidence for Next Time
Next time I will study. And ace them all. Probably.
And so the cycle continues on, in the lovely, miserable, endless circle.
