We've all been there: You're putting the finishing touches on a paper, just about ready to click the save button, and something goes terribly wrong. Maybe you pressed something or clicked something – you don't remember. It was all a blur, but suddenly, you're staring at a blank document.
1. Shock
Um?
2. Denial
Nope, that didn't happen. I must have just opened up another document by accident. I'll just close it out and... oh.
3. Anger
I didn't even do anything! I just hit a button! Why does this happen? I hate technology!
4. Bargaining
OK, universe, I promise I'll be really good if you bring it back. I'll do all my homework from now o,n and I'll stop partying so much, and I'll quit smoking.
5. Guilt
It's all my fault! I should have saved it! Why didn't I save it?
6. Depression
*crying into a bowl of cereal at 3 in the morning* Why me?
7. Acceptance
Well, I should probably start working on that paper.
