The Spring Break Bucket List

Short-lived, but necessary.

The Spring Break Bucket List

As we all know, the groundhog saw it's shadow and essentially screwed over everyone living in the northern half of this country, and we're all anxiously waiting for Spring Break to roll around so we can relax after Hell-week and peace out to warmer places! Here's a list of what to do during break to kick off the warmer season:

1. Enjoy good food!

Go home and go eat! Whether it's your favorite tub of Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream or even your favorite homestyle Mac and Cheese, EAT.

2. Buy yourself something nice!

Treat yourself when life isn't treating you. You've had your butt kicked since you went back to school or work from break! Just buy those sandals you've been eyeing and get ready for the Summer!

3. Sit in bed and watch TV.

For those of you that haven't gotten a chance to religiously follow the Bachelor or just need to re-watch all of Gossip Girl because the tea in your life isn't living up to your expectations.

4. Hit the gym.

I know, I know it sounds terrible, but it will really clear your head and motivate you for your Summer bod 2K17, because I've failed doing so for the past 18 years of my life, and Soul Cycle tastes a lot better when you can motivate yourself with Jamba Juice right after.

5. Rearrange your room!

Sometimes you just want something different in your life, but not TOO different.

6. Bonfires with your friends.

Sometimes it's nice to burn all last semester's assignments in a big fire surrounded by people you love.

7. Get yourself an Acaí Bowl, and read all of those magazines you never got to read because you had to read textbooks all semester instead.

8. Spa & Sleep

Face masks, bubble baths, massages, and a comfy bed, just the essentials.

9. Time to update your Soundcloud.

Your listeners are listening and you need new playlists to help you get through the final stretch of the semester!

10. If all else fails, grab yourself a large popcorn and hit up the movies.

Solo or with your squad, these new movies coming out have everyone talking (Yes, I'm talking about Beauty and The Beast.) Who wouldn't want to see Emma Watson as our favorite princess?

You're pretty much feeling yourself. New haircut, clothes, shoes, everything. New year, new you, right? You're ready for this semester to kick off.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
