the sound of heartbreak.

it is eerily terrifying that there is no sound when a heart breaks.

car accidents end with a bang & shattered glass,

falling ends with a scream & a thud,

even a pencil scrawling words makes the scratching sound against paper

that we find so oddly satisfying,

but the sound of a heart breaking is completely silent.

it is almost as though no one-

not even the universe itself

could create a sound for such devastation.

it is almost as though silence

was the only way

the universe could pay its respect

to the sound of a heart being torn apart.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here.
