The 5 People That Are Definitely On Snapchat Right Now

Because we all actually love that app.

Snapchat. You know you love it. It’s one of those apps that everyone has on their smartphones. Whether you’re sending your best friend the most unattractive faces you can make, or sending the guy you like the best selfies you can take, you know you have an addiction to the app. After hours of research, I have compiled a very scientific list of some of the different types of Snapchatters I have come across. Which one are you most like?

1. The Selfie Queen

We all have that one girl on our friend list who takes all the time in the world to find the perfect lighting, angle, and pose for her next "snap story." She’s probably trying to perfect her duck face, or maybe she’s just feeling really confident today. No one’s judging girl, you do you!

2. The Artist

So, you know those masterpieces sent to you every once in a while on the app? The ones that look like they take hours to create? I could never wrap my head around the idea that some Snapchat user somewhere could possibly have the patience and skill to create such art on such a small screen!

3. The Foodie

How about the person who sends you snapchats at the worst time possible—when you’re starving? It’s a real struggle that many of us have probably faced. But then again, everyone takes pictures of their meals at restaurants now, right? We all just want to share the deliciousness with our friends!

4. The Screenshotter

Yes, this is the person who basically sends you the notification you don’t want to receive… the dreaded screenshot. Why? Why would anyone want to screen shot that awful face I just made? This person screenshots every picture you send to them. What is the purpose of screenshotting? “The world may never know.”

5. The Crazy Fan

If I could relate to any type of snapchatter the most, it would definitely be this one. This snapchatter is always, and I mean always posting videos from backstage or side stage. Heck, maybe they are even on stage with the band or artist! (Been there, done that!) This groupie is probably making everyone very jealous with their VIP treatment!

6. The Snap Addict

This is the friend who sends multiple snapchats to their friends throughout the day, updating them on what they are doing every moment of every day. Yes, I care about you my friend, but I really do not care if you are walking your dog or if you are about to take a nap. Please, take it down a notch.

We've all been there. We have all posted some type of snapchat photo where we have annoyed our friends. But at the end of the day, we know that is what Snapchat is for: staying connected, and annoying our friends when we cannot do that in person.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
